We are visiting Fairbanks for a week in hopes of catching a glimpse of the Aurora. After a very long flight in, we wanted some pizza and a cold beer. The Banks came up first in our Google search so we decided to give it a try.We were greeted immediately upon entering. We decided to sit in the bar area to watch the games. Kosta was very friendly, quick and offered great suggestions. He shared some insight about the area and local beers. We enjoyed chatting with him.We first ordered the fried pickles. They came out quickly and hot! We liked the breading. They were lightly fried and delicious. We also ordered a large pepperoni pizza. I like my pizza to be well done. I don't like when the dough is gooey or undercooked. It was good and it was cooked well! It had large and small pepperoni on it and a very nice flavor. I wasn't sure what beer to get so I got a flight. It was a nice variety of local beers. I enjoyed getting to try them.This is a cool spot to hang out with friends and grab a beer! If we're ever in Fairbanks again, we will be back!

Just had an absolutely delightful visit to The Banks Alehouse in Fairbanks, and I can't help but share the joy!The atmosphere was vibrant and full of energy, making it the perfect backdrop for a casual outing. Opted for their bacon burger this time, and it was a decision I didn't regret. The burger was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, with the bacon adding just the right amount of crispiness and smokiness. Every bite was a little piece of heaven!The staff were incredibly welcoming, adding to the positive vibes of the place. They seemed genuinely happy to serve and ensure that every guest was having a great time. The alehouse had a fantastic selection of craft beers, which complemented the meal beautifully. It was bustling with folks enjoying the games on the big screens, yet the service remained attentive and prompt.What really set The Banks Alehouse apart was the combination of great food, a lively atmosphere, and heartwarming hospitality. It felt like more than just a meal; it was an experience that lifted my spirits.Definitely the place to go in Fairbanks if you're looking to have a good time and enjoy some delicious food. The male waiter, Alan, was terrible and his service sucked. He stood around speaking and laughing with other employees while my food was sitting in the back getting cold. He brought my brisket and fries cold to the touch. I rarely send food back to the kitchen out of fear that the waiter or kitchen staff would do something to it. He only checked on us once about 15 minutes after delivering our food. We're from out of town with no microwave. This waiter needs a new career where he can chat instead of serve.

Me, my husband and kids went to eat around 7:08pm, it was a good amount of people but not busy since most people had their food already. We were sat down and given menus however after 30 minutes we had not been even brought water, or introduced to a server. There was another table that came in on the 30 mint mark after us and they were seated and within 10 minutes they got water/drinks and appetizer order taken. We waited another 15 to give grace but still nothing after this my baby started getting antsy so we left. This has happen a few times here.

Good beer selection. I had higher expectations on the Green Chile Elk Burger but it had no zing and was rather plain. As for the nachos...never again. It appeared chips were dropped into melted cheeseVery little chicken. We specifically said no guac and we were served and charged for it. My friend did enjoy his tacos.

My husband, my in-laws, and I ate here a couple weeks back. Holy cow it was delicious! We hat the gouda cheese sticks and fried cheese curds for apps. I had the salmon bowl for my meal. My father-in-law had a burger, which he thought was cooked to perfection. My husband and mother-in-law shared a pepperoni pizza. After tasting that pizza, I wanted to eat that instead of my bowl! Not that my bowl was bad, it was really yummy! But that pizza was perfect! From the crunchy (but not too crunchy) crust to the not-too-tangy or over-poured pizza sauce, to the perfect amount of cheese, to those epic, magical crisp pepperonis. Lawdy. I didn’t wanna leave. We loved our meal here. And the drinks were so good they disappeared fast! I had a couple of the specialty mimosas. My mother-in-law had some blue coconutty concoction. Both perfect.
