The boatel is a great local dive bar! As visitors we felt very welcome! Would return for sure!

Mellow, after work spot with locals from the industry that come in and chill after a hard shift. Saw my chef and server from Lavelle’s here tonight. I want the weather to get good again so I can check out the deck and river.

Nice summer spot to get a drink and enjoy the sunshine by the river.

The food trucks are hit or miss, the inside is unwelcoming and dirty. No pool table. The outside area is wonderful in summer for events, but doesn't change the creepy vibes from the workers there.

During the early day-time….Place smells like dogs, the bartenders don’t serve you that many drinks, it’s no surprise they don’t receive any good tips.

I have no idea what was going in at this place but the group I was with said this place creeped them out.

I listened to a couple play John Anderson's Seminole Wind on fiddle and guitar, had a great time with new friends and the view of Chena river was excellent. Don't judge the place off your first beer, let a few kick in around 10 pm and you'll be happy you did.

A historic Alaska dive bar with live music and strong drinks. What’s not to love?

Great bartenders. Great summer time venue. Only bat I've gone into. And was the most sober person lol

Fantastic fun every time I go here, even when it's just to go to the bar itself.

I called just to ask a question in reference to back in the day when I was stationed at Ft Wainwright. Friend and I were going to head up that way to hang at the Boat. Used to be a great place. The young lady that answered was kinda rude. Back in the day the Boat was a great place. I guess we won't waist our time.

This is a "local" bar in Fairbanks, inside is drinks only, no frills, just drinks. The back yard that abuts the Chena River is the gem of this local watering hole. The best place in Fairbanks to enjoy a cold beverage, tan in the sun, and watch the river activity.
