My dinner experience at the Pump House on the Chena River in Fairbanks, Alaska, was delightful, with a meal comprising of Fresh Sourdough bread, Seafood Soup, fresh steamed clams accompanied by Reindeer sausage, and a main course of bacon-wrapped Elk Medallions complemented by an Alaskan Porter. Everything was wonderful & delicious.

We were a party of nine with no reservations. Fortunately the private dining room was not booked so we were easily accommodated. We each ordered something different and everyone loved their selection.Parking: The snow was melting that day so the parking lot was quite slushy.

This was a pretty cool spot and super crowded! It is a popular spot for good reason. The food was delicious and my husband said they had the best fish and chips he had in all of Alaska (he tried numerous fish and chips at different restaurants). It is a little loud and crowded but that was fine. We had a great experience!

Went here for Easter Brunch, and man, did they prepare a feast! Everything was great.
I have been going to Pump House for 15 years. I went to two brunches in the last month. Not going back. The Mimosas brunch used to be unlimited then they went to only two per person. Now they jacked up the price and took away all adult drinks now you have to pay extra for.I used to love their mimosas Brunch but this last Easter Sunday was a complete and utter waste of money and calories. They jacked up the price from $42 to 48 for adults, had a few more extra offerings than normal but the quality was laughable. They served burned eggs Benedict as in you can see black burnt English muffins and rock hard eggs. their dried out sausages patties that were clearly over cooked and still they put them out. They also don’t include the mimosas with the meal. They serve roast beef /prime rib but don’t give you a knife to cut it and was super slim each time. The server was no where to be seen, never brought out a drink for my daughter. The hostess sitting me said my party doesn’t exist, I didn’t know who made the reservation I said it is a large party she goes we don’t book any today… then the next one comes up and says they are in the bar area….They ran out of plates for the buffet. For that price I don’t think I will ever go again and I live super close to it they made it not worth it anymore.

Our meal was very good and a highlight of the trip to Fairbanks. I got the blackened halibut and my wife got the seafood risotto. My cocktail (the dream) was very good. I would go back to this place without hesitation.

Service and atmosphere impeccable. One star off on food due to running out of key dishes (entrees and desserts) both times we went. The food we did get was excellent.
