We stopped in here on our first day in Fairbanks during a vacation to Alaska. It was a Sunday and there was limited hours, all the cocktails were phenomenal. There's plenty of seating inside and out.

My husband and I were visiting from Arizona, we weren’t sure what to expect. We’ve visited distilleries around the US and Ursa Major is fantastic! Rob is the best! It was great to “***** out over distilling and hear all the ways he’s engineered his process. Their product is just as great. We went home with bottles and cans to take home we held a tasting with friends and they were jealous they don't have bottles of their own. I'll definitely be going back next summer to visit and restock!! The Dark rum and Gin are unique and amazing.

Absolutely loved our experience here. We did the tour ($20 each) and really enjoyed learning about all the different techniques and technologies used in the very unique process here at Ursa Major directly from Rob. We got to try a little bit of everything including the fantastic canned bloody Mary and Mango daiquiri mixed drinks they offer.It's about a $25 Lyft ride take it out that direction and while there weren't too many people at 3:00 when we did the tour, it really started to pick up around 5:00 and got very busy.We love the history of the building and the fact that Rob and the team continue that tradition by having art all over the place and doing some kind of first Friday art thing (We just heard about that. We didn't attend it).If we lived in the area we would definitely come here more often and buy their liquor!! I am not a person that usually enjoys Bloody Marys and the canned bloody Mary here was the best I've ever had.

This establishment absolutely knows what they're doing. Every distillate I tried was not only delicious on its own unmixed, but true to style. Our bartender, Becky has tremendous talent.Here's a snippet of what is available:Bright, tasty vodka that actually has a character. Sourdough rum which is a beautiful twist on a Jamaican style rum. Gold rum with a nice vanillin expression of American oak, new American gin, and Akvavit done beautifully with notes of gingerbread and citrus. I'm so happy I could cry. Their mixers are even house made!Don't pass up an opportunity to visit Ursa Major. You won't regret it.

The bartender let me try a bit of each spirit and told me about them, I can attest they're all impressively smooth-drinking, even the vodka would be easy to sip on its own. I ended up getting cocktails with the gin and aged rum, both very good. I'd driven by the place packed on a Saturday, but it was very chill Sunday afternoon.

We did the tour with Rob and it was amazing! He was super interested and answered all of our questions! The tasting was wonderful. 100% recommend doing the tour and grabbing some drinks afterwards.

This was my first distillery tour and Rob set the bar high! The hard work, heart and dedication seeped from every condenser in the room. Learning about the process from start to finish brings to light the intuition needed to create such a high quality product with every bottle. It clearly takes an individual with 192 proof running through his veins to give us what we have been waiting for. Please do yourself and your soul a favor by swinging by for a quick tour of Ursa Major.

This place is stellar. We thoroughly enjoyed the staff and tour, they were amazing people it's hard to measure the quality of a warm welcome. They still hit the nail on the head. It didn't feel like I was a bother, and it felt like my business wasn't just expected but also appreciated. The next time we visit, Fairbanks we will happily come back.
