OMG — Base Camp in downtown Girdwood is an absolute hidden gem! We left Alyeska Resort just exploring the area and stumbled into this local spot. No frills, just straight-up incredible food, great energy, and a cozy, authentic Alaskan vibe. The kind of place only locals really know about, but once you try it, you’ll never forget it. Every bite was phenomenal. If you’re in Girdwood or staying at the resort, do yourself a favor — step off property and make your way to Base Camp. This is the real win.

The Manager/server sure knows how to cater to my family of 4. He knew to serve the kids before our food so by the time our food arrived, we can eat without worrying about having to feed them! We definitely found our go-to spot in Girdwood for supper! The burgers were delicious, even my picky children ate all their food so you know already its a good spot! We can't wait to be back again.

Chef did an amazing job, so delicious. Presentation was beautiful, portion size huge, had to take some home. Hostess/waitress was very friendly. We had the Halibut, salmon chowder, prime sandwich and stuffed mushrooms. Recommend all.

Everything we ate was amazing. I’ve been in Anchorage area for a week and this was the best halibut I’ve had so far. I like to taste the fish and usually just like a butter and lemon marinade. This was exactly that and so much more! Also their dessert was amazing! Highly recommend, their chef is a master!

Ordered the Jalapeño Burger medium and it came out Rare at best. They quickly remade it correctly but it still was just ok. The gyro was very light on the meat and just ok as well. Server was good but the food was mediocre. Prices were good compared to many of the restaurants we’ve been to in this area and Anchorage. Would not return.
