A very nice place. Nice pizza. Chicken sandwich was good.
Really enjoyed the Thai chicken pizza here and the atmosphere was lively and fun. Just what we were looking for!
The food was good but the service was great! Such a pleasant place to enjoy a bite to eat with nice views from the windows. Loved the all wooden everything too. Was a recommended stop in town and 10/10 would recommend to others
Fun little place to stop off before trekking up the mountain. Friendly staff and clean restrooms. Food was standard portions and a decent flavor.
This is a cool place if you are in Girdwood.
Took the Halibut tacos, very good!
The place has a pool table. Overall cool atmosphere
My wife and kids stopped in for dinner tonight. We've been here before and know the prices are on the higher side, so we expected a matching level of service. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
When we arrived, the group ahead of us was left waiting at the host stand while the hostess disappeared. After several minutes, a second hostess seated them—even though the restaurant wasn’t busy and plenty of tables were open.
When it was our turn, we stood at the counter and were ignored for five full minutes without any acknowledgment. At that point, we decided to leave and likely won’t be returning.
The owner was banging my cousin who has some issues when it comes to lying and attention. Tried to take my husband there for a nostalgic burger only to be told that I wasn’t welcome because my 3rd cousin once removed was being stalked by her biological family, of which I am not. She was also, in fact, not being stalked by her direct family. So in my hometown I was treated worse than a stranger because of a lying kid. Every good memory I had growing up of going to chair 5 has been tainted. Besides that: the tables are sticky, the glasses dirty, the wait staff is forgetful or they don’t care. They used to have decent burgers but that’s long gone. Their pizza is still trash. Don’t waste your time or money. Just go to the Double Musky.
Nice menu, busy location, good service.

Unfortunately, over the years Chair 5 has taken a major "Dive".
Ironic, as Chair 5 is called "the dive" by the locals. I grew up in this town, skiing the mountain and loving the community.
In the last two years, I went from "yeah, they're open lets eat there" to "lets grab something from the store and cook at home"
The food is very average. The people that work there, are incredible. Great customer service, the personality in each employee is refreshing. I wish I could say the same for the food.
Chair 5 has turned into a less than good establishment.
Burgers are what you'd expect from Carl's Jr.(Go to HIGHTOWER)
Pizza is nothing impressive (go to COAST)
Pasta is the same as Olive Garden (go to SPOONLINE)
The steak is hard to chew, the flavors are out of a jar. The staff is doing what they can with they've been given, but it's been sad to see this restaurant turn into a true dive bar.
If you want a good time, open mics, karaoke, drinks and fun banter - Chair 5 is the spot for you. Very ski town, very local, but the food isn't where it's at anymore. Would love to see them turn it around!

Food= not great. Atmosphere= “alright”.
I live in Girdwood- About 1 mile away from Chair five restaurant and Here’s my opinion- if you want delicious pizza, order from Coast Pizza in Girdwood. Coast is the best pizza. Sadly, Chair Five is kinda (sorry for saying this) for stoners , and locals, who don’t care about (nor can they tell the difference between) good pizza and bad pizza.
Real talk, for those who are new to the area, here’s my take- in my opinion, Chair Five is local dive bar. It’s home to those people in Girdwood who don’t have a lot going on. My advice-go there if you want a “vibe” of a ski town. You will be sure to interact with the local ski bums, tourists, and other locals who just like to hang around. It’s not a bad place. It’s just not the best food, I wish the food was better.

The food was wonderful, but it did get loud in here for dinner. At times, it was hard to hear some in my group, but nothing I didn't expect just from looking at the photos. Everyone in my group seemed to enjoy their food, and it all looked wonderful.

Non-deep dish pizza has gone way downhill lately. Smaller with very thin crust, light on toppings, and higher price. Used to be the best in town.
