We had a fantastic meal at Chair 5 during our trip to Girdwood—the atmosphere was perfect and the food was exactly what we needed. But the real reason I'm compelled to write this review is for the unbelievably kind service we received after we left.
After I left the restaurant and drove all the way to anchorage airport to return home to California I realized I left my handbag in the restaurant. With only an hour left for my flight I couldn’t go back and get it. I called, and after a couple of tries (totally understandable for a busy restaurant), I was connected with the manager, Robert. He was an absolute lifesaver.
Despite being busy, he located the bag, corresponded with me via email, and shipped it all the way back to me. He made the process incredibly simple and was just so kind and helpful. He said that a positive customer experience was all the reward they needed.
It's one thing for a restaurant to have great food, but it's another to have a team that genuinely cares about its customers on a human level. Robert and the staff at Chair 5 have earned customers for life. We will absolutely be back and can't recommend this place highly enough. A true Girdwood gem!

We decided to dine at Chair 5 and were delighted by the grilled halibut with a side of vegetables and potatoes, while my husband opted for the Halibut fish and chips. Our meals were absolutely delicious! Tevin, our server, was warm and attentive throughout the entire evening. We are grateful for the excellent service, Tevin!

My brother loves this place so we decided to meet him here after the park and grab some waters. Acted like it was a pain when if we had gotten a table inside we'd of had no problem. The we got a nice burn pizza with canned topping. Nearly broke one of my nephews teeth. Anyways maybe someone else had a better experience.

We didn’t get the deep dish pizza but we’re from Detroit and can get Detroit style deep dish anytime. We did have pizza, it was delicious. The clam chowder was amazing!
