Avoid this place if possible. Food is mediocre at best. Hostess has an awful attitude and acts like she is doing you a favor by seating you. She seems to have forgotten she's a hostess in the restaurant industry lolol. Staff is generally unfriendly/uncaring and act like this is some high end place. Probably a bunch of locals that have never left Anchorage and experienced true fine dining.

Various friends and I have been dining here at least twice a year since the 90's and we have never been disappointed. The food and service has always been top notch spot-on. Our personal favorites are the steaks & prime rib, but occasionally someone will try other options and all have been given top reviews as well. Salads are always fresh and crispy and vegetables are cooked just right. Do try their jalapeno rolls that are served with dinner. Sooo good! Portions are large and can be shared or leftovers taken home. Following your meal your server will stop by your table with a tray of desserts that you'll be hard-pressed to pass up even if you're already stuffed from dinner. They're closed a couple days a week, so be sure to check ahead before making the drive. They don't accept reservations, so arrive at least 1/2 hour before opening to make the first seating. I'd just like to say that I read over 200 reviews before posting mine and counted only 11 negatives, equally split between poor food quality, poor service, or inflated prices. It's unfortunate they weren't satisfied, but in light of the remaining glowing reviews, I would say it's safe to rely on the positive reviews instead. If you're concerned with your budget, you can review their Entree menu and prices on their website. Those of us who visit fairly often have seen their prices increase slightly over recent years, but what restaurant hasn't had to increase their prices as food sources have increased? I'd rather pay a higher price for a 5-star memorable meal and atmosphere than less elsewhere for a mediocre one. Just my opinion.

Incredible food! Very busy and well worth the wait! Plan to arrive early before they open at 5 pm. This is hands down my favorite place to eat! You will not be disappointed.
Dined there in 2000. I had the blackened Cajun salmon. Best meal I have ever eaten. Wonderful service. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
The food and service were excellent! I highly recommend it. It's probably one of the top 5 restaurants in the area. Hats off to Shaneiac and crew!
This place was amazing, highly recommend!
Double Musky Inn is the epitome of a hidden gem. What seems like an off the road shack, reveals itself as a maximalism meets roadhouse, a culinary triumph. Comfort food bursting with flavor matched with welcoming service, exceeds all roadhouse expectations.
If we are in Alaska, we are stopping by Double Musky for steaks. I always get the filet, my son always gets the French Pepper Steak. Finest steak around and the jalapeno cheddar rolls are delish!
Prices have definitely gone up (as everywhere else). The only part that kinda took me aback this time was the limited (to 1) refill for soda - and the cups are not that large.
Service is always great.
An excellent choice for a date night or a memorable dining experience, this establishment offers some of the finest cuisine in Alaska.
The Pepper Steak and Shrimp Étouffée are standout favorites, showcasing exceptional flavor and quality. The Crawfish Jalapeño Cheese Dip is another must-try, offering the perfect balance of spice and richness. No meal would be complete without indulging in the signature Double Musky Pie.
Regardless of what you choose, every dish on the menu is crafted to impress, making it a must-visit for any food enthusiast.
A must stop when visiting Anchorage.

Not sure how this place keeps busy but probably the worst dining experience me and my family had. The service was HORRENDOUS and the food was mediocre at best. Never again, save your money elsewhere.

In a word , FANTASTIC!!! Probably the best food and rustic atmosphere in the Anchorage area. A 1/2 hr drive south of town but WELL worth it. It's so good, I order two different entrees and take home leftovers.
