So we were in a glacier tour and our driver Chad told us the best coffee in all Alaska was “The Grind” so my friends and I had to give it a try.

We stopped by on our way to Kenai Fjord and it was good but not the best coffee in Alaska. I had better by Denali National Park 🤷🏻‍♀️ I had an iced doppio with a splash of almond milk. Decent. If you’re into vintage; the coffee establishment sells a bunch of items.

Also this is for the owner. When you’re going to write where the coffee’s are from check your grammar it’s COLOMBIA not COLUMBIA 🤦🏻‍♀️

We started our day with a stop here and boy was it delicious. There was so much to look at inside the store we stayed and sipped our coffee while we looked some more. Also the coffee was ready to drink the second we got it, no ridiculously hot scolding lips here. It was the perfect temperature and we loved our drinks. I got the caramel mocha. The man working was very helpful as well.

Coffee was terrible and the atmosphere was exactly what is wrong with our country. Tons of propaganda and AI garbage vomiting hatred.

An unexpected coffee shop and had a really good option of gifts for me to bring back home. The coffee was great. 🤗

For what seems to be the middle of nowhere and the center of the (known) universe this incredible place has the best roasted coffee. Great pastries, odd toys, atmosphere. I go way out of my way to visit and appreciate their humor as well. Its about the bean. Wow.

Nice hole in the wall coffee shop. Good coffee and pastries however we were hoping for a breakfast menu as it showed online. Only breakfast was waffles which were great but limited options otherwise.

Super fun little coffee shop. There are tons of funny magnets and sayings that'll make you giggle while you wait for your coffee. The veggie wrap was toasted and yummy, and the peanut butter marshmallow breve we got was 10/10 bangin'. Next time we come to Gerdwood, you can bet your butt we're getting our morning coffee here again.

Vegetarian options: Veggie wrap on the menu was yummy

Great coffee and fun shop filled with fandom. Some items may be offensive or inappropriate, but it is in good fun. There is a public bathroom, but it shares footage with a washer/dryer which is as unique as The Grind.

This is the only time I’ve ever been unable to finish a cup of coffee. They must have accidentally re-used the grounds, there’s no other explanation.
