It was such a cozy and unique coffee shop! A great place to get a drink, read, or play games!

The Grind IS the best coffeehouse in Girdwood!☕️ They have fresh, roasted, in-house coffee blends ranging from blonde to pitch black. ? Lots of toys and science based novelty gifts for kids and grown-ups. ? Waffles, wraps and pastries ? along with many other quick snacks are available there. It's worth it just to peek about and take a mini vacation from your vacation ?.

I love this place so much! If you’re looking for a cute small-town coffee shop, this is a great place to go! The grind has the staples of coffee shop drinks, as well as an entire display of hilarious junk that you might find as an awesome gift. They have strange gifts such as Kermit the Frog candles and alien poop in a bag (cotton candy), as well as Girdwood merch and socks. I recommend the chai, because it’s just really good. :)Kid-friendliness: There’s a small bit of inappropriate things on the displays, like socks with a whole bunch of bad words on them, but the atmosphere is pretty friendly for kids in general. :D

Beautiful place with house roast coffee beans. I had lavender latte... the best I had in Alaska. The place is super cute and cozy.

A Girdwood "local" recommended a stop at the Grind, because they roast their own coffee, and they have interesting items instore. Thanks to that friendly, and correct, local, my friends and I had a very pleasant hour visiting while sipping our drinks. Excellent coffee -- Black Irish Expresso -- so tasty that I bought a 2-lb bag. Personality plus in this precious little VERY GIRDWOOD shop.Parking: Parking is adequate to the location.Kid-friendliness: Kids should be with their adult. Lots of store items would be interesting to a kid.

Totally worth the 5-minute detour off the road to AWCC. I had a delicious mocha and my wife had an excellent Irish cream cappuccino. They roast their coffee beans daily, and also have a lot of quirky knickknacks to browse and buy. 10/10.
