Funny Farm Coffee Haines, AK

Check out the funny farm. A get away anytime of the year. Mark is a tremendous host and makes a great cup of Java from their new coffee bar. Lots of room to load up the family and prepare your own meals or have them prepare. A very good experience and recommend it to all my friends here in the Yukon.

Mark is so lovely and down to earth. He has made our last three visits to Haines so enjoyable! We will always stay at the Funny Farm when we travel to Haines. Thanks Mark for the great conversation and laughs, for welcoming our three dogs with open arms, and making us feel at home! See you soon!

I stayed at the Funny Farm for a little over two weeks in September / October of 2019. It was a great place and our group made some terrific memories. At a basic comfort level my bed was great, the water was warm, and I opted to cook my own food on a stove that worked just fine. Outdoors wise I saw horizon-to-horizon northern lights, set off fireworks that seemed far too large for civilian ownership, and could quite easily get myself into some side country terrain with all manner of wildlife. I think there were over a dozen of us living and sometimes studying in the house full time for two weeks and it never felt crowded. Pretty sure there were still plenty of empty rooms and beds. It would be really easy to not feel at home in a place like this, but pretty quickly I found myself comfortably on a couch drinking my coffee listening to a podcast with my headphones on. Definitely much more relaxing and comfortable than staying in a hotel. Meeting some of the other folks who came and went that weren't part of our group was great as well. Great place, Mark!
