I moved from Haines to Palmer over ten years ago and still reminisce about Mountain Market coffee. I always appreciated the service and atmosphere and it felt like time slowed down a little bit once I wandered through the doors.
An oasis of cool in the Alaskan wilderness, offering a surprising array of groceries, including a decent spread of organic options. Their coffee and tea game is strong, boasting a sweet assortment of brews and delish sweet snacks to fuel your adventures. Plus, for all you road warriors, their toilets are spotless—a true luxury after days on the road. Whether you're stocking up or just need a good espresso fix, this spot is a must-visit.

Did not experience the cafe so just got groceries. Good selection of organic products in cans, fresh and frozen. They did not have the Native brand deodorant which I was looking for but had other natural deodorants. I got some hiking snacks like bars and beef stick and ginger candy. Prices were reasonable for that. The baked goods looked great but I was not there for that in the afternoon. They had turnovers and cookies and coffee. Place is usually busy. Cashier was very nice and professional.

A great little store that has something for everyone! I needed some plant-based hotdogs or sausages, and they had some in stock. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Great coffee, great vibe, friendly staff.
Early morning visit was very chill with locals gathering and chatting, while also being friendly to us tourists. Great little mini store for food needs. Buy the T shirt!
There weren't any vegan options displayed in the cafe, but I asked the staff if they had any options, and they were able to bring out something that they were preparing to put out. Vegan options aren't plentiful by any means in the cafe, but the staff was super helpful and I'm sure there would be vegan items in the market

Honestly a decent tasting wrap, but they wouldn’t turn the grill on because there wasn’t enough customers. Would have been a lot tastier if it was grilled. No espresso bar on a Sunday is also crazy. Decent drip coffee. 3 stars
