The only place to give me food at 12:30 at night saving me from hunger before walking home from the bar and that grilled cheese hit the spot also got 2 tasty brownies one I ate that night and one my friends and I ate the next day and they agreed it was one of the tastiest brownies we’d had in a long time. Mike was also super kind and accomodating saying they’re ran out of ingredients and were closed but happy to make me one last grilled cheese. Also the staff that were on were laughing and enjoying them selves even though it’s almost 1am as they packed u. An over all good vibe, food made with love. The cute stickers on the box were an added bonus.

Takeout place with no indoor seating, even to wait. But well worth that wait. The sandwich I got was enormous, packed with ingredients, and at a fairly reasonable price. Highly, highly recommend! It's a little hard to find, as it's tucked toward the back of a parking lot, but worth seeking it out.
Great BIG delicious sandwiches! Very friendly locally owned business. Call in your order and text when you get there they will bring food to you. ?
Mike's is one place I always recommend. The food is good. The sandwiches are interesting, the last one had thin slices of apple, adding a nice crispness. It's a breakfast though late lunch stop. The portions will last me for two meals. Mike caters, makes lunches if you're going on a charter or hike. They also have great unique sodas or bubble drinks like coconut or peach lemonade. You can order online and have it ready for you when you get there. The staff is friendly
i’ve been going to mike’s for several years, and made it a point to go there more often during the pandemic, but after my most recent visit, i’m done. the last sandwich i got tasted as if it had been in the fridge for a day, the ‘toast’ was completely dry, took one bite and it broke like a thin sheet of ice and the sandwich fell apart, then i saw that the ‘melted’ cheese was stiff and cold, which only furthered my suspicion that very likely the entire sandwich had been pre-made and stored in the fridge, there was no evidence of it being made after i placed my order. so here’s a tip, if you’re going to settle for a pre-made sandwich, go to Safeway, and for $20 you’ll get a sandwich, chips and a beverage for less than $20
Following a visit to the nearby Pratt Museum, we stopped by Mike's based on online reviews. Did not realize until we got there that they were carry-out only, but nevertheless were happy we stopped. Our lunch meal was simple--excellent bread and tomato soup--but am writing this review because I was impressed by the constant flow of carry out traffic. The whole menu is attractive and local folks clearly appreciate it.
Calling ahead to order is easy and is a good idea. The food is always good. There are the regular options and there are often specials and the sweets counter is always tempting!
Covid or no Covid... this place was terrific. Their ordering/pick-up set up seemed a little odd at first; but as soon as I used my reading/looking skills it was logical and easy to use their online ordering system, and understand their pick-up system. We ordered two different breakfast items. The quality/taste was great. Portions were big, but not huge. Staff was very good too. Mike's holds up as another great Homer dining experience. We will be back.
Great food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Food comes quickly and the portions are good sized. Highly recommend.
