The porterhouse steak was amazing. service was top notch, Garrett recommended the perfect Pinot Noir to compliment our meal. Live music 🎶 was also spot on.

I feel with a little work, The Homestead Restaurant could get 5 stars. It is in a beautiful setting. There is plenty of room in the interior but when full, it is very loud. Especially when they have live music. Very difficult to visit with others at your table.
The food was good. I had the Gumbo. It tasted very good but was only warm with heat. I like it hot! The oysters were excellent. However, it took quite some time to get them to the table. The bartender was the only person schucking and trying to manage the bar.
The Service was good but a little disorganized. We weren't ignored but orders didn't come out at the same time and were mixed up.
Overall, it was a good experience. I would return.

We really had a good meal at the Homestead tonight. The food and music were very good. The highlight was our experience with Chris, the bartender. We have been here twice in two weeks. He provides exceptional service and great drinks. I was able to order drinks I can't find anywhere else in Homer. Great availability of liquor and super service. We will be back!

I used to go here in a lot 1998-2001 and always loved it. I made a reservation for my early August stay in Homer as I wanted to make sure I could get in. Despite the reservation, I was seated about 45 minutes later and a different server came by about 30 seconds later to take my order. Since I didn't have the time to review the menu, I asked for a minute, then it was another 20-30 minutes before anyone took my order. To be fair, the place was slammed (around 6:30pm) as it was $1 oyster night and it was a confused mess. Because I wanted to have dinner there at least once during my stay in Homer, I waited it out and things eventually settled down a bit. It was very loud and there was live music. When I made a reservation, I specifically requested to be in the quieter section but all bets seemed to be off the night I was there, the reservation didn't mean anything, and it was just a matter of trying to squeeze in when a table came open. It's a lot different than what I recall, and more limited on the seafood options than what they should have given their easy access to fantastic AK seafood. All in all, it was just ok, but did not meet my expectations. If I make it back, I'll go a different night and see what it's like.

Beautiful restaurant, fabulous food , great wine selection and amazing hours.
We were very hesitant at first - open til midnight, signs posted on the door about being 21 & up , no front windows & the name Pleasure club - we almost didn't walk in but after a quick step inside we realized it was a nice family friendly restaurant.

Hands down Homestead is a special treat. The fish sandwich was my absolute favorite. The old fashioned is the best I have tasted anywhere. Great live music and fantastic atmosphere.

Food was awesome, service was less then good… when leaving seen staff out taking shots and leaving the rest of employees out to try and take care of it their selves. Waited for a half hour for a cocktail, and never could get a second one.

Cute bar restaurant. Staff were so nice. We originally sat by the corridor and when it started getting noisy our waitress asked if we would like to move to a nicer seat next to the window. We also got some free oysters : )

We ate at your restaurant last night, and the food was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent and we had a great last night in Homer. Only regret is that we should have tried your place sooner! The porterhouse Steak was our main. We had Oysters and Caprese salad. Very memorable meal. See you next Summer!

This restaurant has a lot of potential, and I've always believed that. The food is fantastic, and the unique layout adds to the overall experience. However, during my visit, it was clear that they were understaffed, as one waitress was trying to manage both sections. The bartender did his best to assist, which was appreciated, but it was disheartening to see the owner, who greeted us warmly, leave the premises knowing they were short staffed.

We returned three weeks later, excited for the live music, but unfortunately, the environment was far too loud to enjoy. Upon entering, we struggled to hear the hostess due to the noise. We chose a table as far from the music as possible, yet we still had difficulty conversing. The staff worked hard and there were plenty, but they had to shout to communicate with each other and customers.

We ended up leaving our drink at the bar because the atmosphere made it uncomfortable to stay. My recommendation would be to consider not attending when there’s live music until they can address the acoustics. We're willing to give it another try, but we do hope to see some improvements, especially given the drive it takes to visit.

Each appetizer and entree was over the top delicious! Crawfish cakes, grilled shrimp appetizers were easy to share! Filet mignon and gumbo were the best! Our server, Christopher was funny and helpful! Will remember the Holy Trinity!
