“Amazing food and cute atmosphere“

“Before boarding our Disney Cruise, we made our final stop at Duck Point Smokehouse, and it was the perfect way to end our journey! We enjoyed pepperoni pizza, drinks, sandwiches, and my personal favorite—the Alaskan Halibut. It was a bit pricey since we were a big group, but it was absolutely worth it. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and a fantastic way to fuel up before heading out on our cruise!“

The food was served piping hot, fresh, and very flavorful, with quick preparation and attentive service. The atmosphere is definitely a highlight, located right on the ocean with both indoor seating and a covered outdoor area that’s especially enjoyable when the weather cooperates. It’s a beautiful spot to sit back, relax, and take in the views. One drawback is that the menu did not list any prices, which made the final bill a bit of a surprise. The meals are quite expensive, though that’s not unexpected in a remote, touristy spot like Hoonah. Overall, a great place to enjoy a tasty meal in a scenic setting, just be prepared for higher costs.“

“My husband stayed at the ISL while out of town for work. He was gone on his birthday. I called up the front desk on Tuesday evening and asked if they could possibly do something special for him on his birthday (the next day). They had cupcakes for him, made a card of printed off pictures of my kids and I that I emailed (Christina’s idea!), balloons, and snuck up on him in the bar and sang happy birthday to him. He was completely surprised and had a fun and memorable 35th birthday even though he wasn’t home with us in Indiana. I am so thankful for Christina and the staff at ISL for making his birthday special for him since we weren’t able to. I cannot begin to express how grateful I am! My husband enjoyed his stay at the lodge very much! We hope to make a trip together in the future and stay at the lodge! Thanks so much everyone!“
