You must stop here and get the salmon tacos! We stopped here while at port and we talked about the tacos the rest of our cruise. Definitely worth every penny!

This is a locally owned business. The daughter grew up here, went to college for culinary, then returned home and opened this restaurant. Her father is a local fisherman (per the restaurant name).

Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Only reason for 4 stars was the other tourists. There is very limited seating here, and as soon as the doors open 1 woman tried to save every table for her group. This is not the fault of the business, just proof that inconsiderate people are everywhere.

This is a great place to eat while you are in Hoonah

I had the Salmon Taco which in the menu says it’s a sweet chili glazed Alaska silver salmon served in flower tortilla with melted cheese, cabbage jalapeño slaw, grape tomatoes, cilantro, and sour cream.

It was good but I feel like for having fresh salmon from right there in the streams the sweet chili glaze hides the taste of fresh Alaskan salmon. It might be nice to have another salmon taco option not on the sweet chili glaze side.

The service was slow but not that bad. I mean you’re in Alaska…. enjoy the scenery. The younger guy taking the orders was super friendly. One girl younger had no smiles and not that friendly. The other girl a little older than the other had smiles and was friendly.

Friendliness and smiles go a long way especially when you’re paying for a high priced meal.

Had a great meal with these guys. The fish is locally caught. It doesn’t get fresher than this. They came recommended from the local brewery, who could have easily sold us bar food. We wanted halibut tacos and the brewery told us to go here. They weren’t wrong. Will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

Fabulous lunch after a whale watching tour. Had the beer battered halibut chunks and soup of the day—which was homemade chicken noodle. It would have used a little more broth flavor—but added some salt and it was awesome.

I don’t k own if they make the tartar sauce homemade or not, but it was fabulous!

Than you for an awesome lunch!

Fantastic little spot off the beaten path in Hoonah for breakfast, lunch, & coffees. The food was great & the staff was really friendly. If you're looking for a local spot with a fantastic menu selection, this is a place the fits that perfectly. We enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits tasted like grandmas, and the gravy was absolutely delicious. Lots of sausage. We also had the breakfast burrito. It was very filling and a great combination with the cheese melted perfectly. On the lunch menu, the beer, battered halibut was definitely a win. The breading was light and perfect. You could definitely tell the fish was fresh, not like something you would get at a restaurant in the lower 48. The blackened halibut tacos were a win as well. The combination of slaw, salsa and halibut was great. There was honestly nothing we tried on the menu during our stay in Hoonah that we didn't like. If you've ever watched the show "deadliest catch," this feels like a meal the fisherman would eat on board one of the ships. One of the other cool things about the spot is people who are working for the US Department of the interior on roads, etc. in the area were eating here as well. They were able to give some insight on where to find bears in the area and some local sightseeing spots that were off the beaten path. The fisherman's daughters is such a cool place. I highly recommend.

It is very fish and delicious. We had the Salmon Taco, Blackened Halibut, and the Beer Battered fish with clam chowder. The only thing we didn’t like was the beer batter. It was not crispy enough and more towards the soggy side but the fish was super fresh. It’s on the pricey side but it’s worth trying for such great freshness. Tables are limited and there may be wait.
