This was our first time visiting The Alaskan Hotel & Bar, and it was a memorable experience. Known for their unique "crab fart," we decided to give it a try—it was definitely interesting but pleasantly tasty. The venue itself is rich with history, which adds a lot of character to the place.
The bartenders were all friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. If you’re in Juneau, I’d recommend stopping in for a drink and soaking up...

What a great place to stay! This oldest hotel in Alaska is on the historic register. If you are looking for modern, go elsewhere. But, if you want to step back in time and feel the energy of years gone by, this is the place to be. We were in room 333. It is a walk up. You can feel the history here and in the bar. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We paid a little extra and had a private bath. So worth it!
