Simcoe, the brewery cat adds a special element to the offerings at Barnaby Brewing Company. But they don’t need the kitty to draw people in. The beers are fantastic. I had the Norwegian Farmhouse ale, “Short like your temper” Stupendous. My wife had the stout and also found it to be a superlative inducing beverage.

For a beer connoisseur this is the best brewery in Juneau. Their sours ales and Belgian styles in particular are my favorite out of the 4 breweries here, and even outdo most of Anchorage (which is a far larger city).
It's a chill vibe inside, often not busy and certainly not a rowdy loud bar scene, but I like that about it. You can buy bottles to go - mostly bombers (22oz) and not inexpensive, but well worth it.

great stout and show IBU as every beer place should, i like it bitter hence would indicate which beer i'd try. nice mainstream rock music and not crowded, well lit atmosphere as well.

Suggestion maybe open at noon or 1 while cruise ships are in port so I don't have to drink the standard beers like the other local company on the wharf. Thinking outside the box is always better than the same ole beers!
