Great food, big portions. After 4 days on a ship, we all needed some quality rice and skewers. Would absolutely recommend and go again if we're ever back in Juneau.
We are on the Alaskan cruise this summer and we stopped off in Juneau and saw this stand. Maybe I should say we smelled the food cooking from the stand. The smell was incredible as was the food also. If you’re in this area, don’t hesitate to stop and grab a bite to eat.

On a cruise, best food I’ve had since we left port!
The pork bbq is the best ever! Alternate larger Carrillo’s Caldo food truck located two blocks west on Egan and Whittier (next to Pucker Wilson’s truck)

A lot of the cruise ships Filipino crews eat here , so you know it has to be good
We followed our senses and smell to Carillo's Caldo or Carillo's Pinoy BBQ after a paddle excursion in Juneau, AK! Our senses immediately detoured us to Carillo's Caldo once we we dropped off by tour right outside of cruise port.
We ordered two bbq sticks with rice and we devoured this so quickly. Homemade Filipino food , we miss good Asian food much. Nom nom nom.

The food is authentically Filipino. Amazing dinuguan and bbq with white rice. Felt like home. Wished I ate under a heated lamp. One of the ladies on the ship told me about it as she over heard me how I miss my moms cooking.

Restaurantji Recommends
There are quite a few good restaurants in Juneau, but this place is something special. First off, it's amazing. If you are on the fence about trying it, then let me assure you, it will be some of the tastiest food in the city! There is so much flavor, and the textures are spot on. I highly recommend this place for great quality and tasty food!

Stopped for a snack and ordered karioka and lumpia; flavors were great just wish the lumpia was served warmed.
The long line was so worth it. Went to Juneau last July and this was an absolute recommendation from the ship crew. Seventeen bucks for a pair of bbq and rice may seem to be expensive but it looks like it is good for two persons. BBQ was freshly grilled and the rice is very soft, it seems to be freshly cooked. My 6 y/o daughter almost ate the whole thing and even wanted to take it home (but we can't, sorry!). Servings are huge. Dinuguan and lumpia are delicious as well. This is just a food stsnd in the middle of plaza across from the fire hall. It is close to the port of Princess and HAL.
