Service was ok for take out. It has been years since I dined here. Prices went way up. Menu shown here must not he up to date, charged $17 for nachos mamas. And I didn't catch the fact that they took away ingredients to this dish as no longer with black olives, beans and meat. I would not have paid$17 for this pile of cheese and very little tomatoes and very little bag of fresh chips. Sad that the menu changed up n a bad way. This dish used to be loaded. An old childhood favorite. Thought $17 was a bit much but thought ok, a rare treat. Not anymore.

Oof, where to begin.Freezing cold inside, and some of the worst food I've ever tasted.The chicken must have come from a can straight to the grill with no seasoning.I cannot recommend in good conscience.The one server there was quite friendly at least.

As a Texas-raised couple on a cruise to AK, we were skeptical and would have walked right by except that we grew up in a town with a restaurant named El Sombrero. This gem of a place should be a must-eat location! The salsa came out with great flavor, thick, and not tomatoey. Since it was lunch, we skipped apps and went straight for entrees.The hits kept coming when the tortilla soup came out! Face-tingling, head-sweating warmth of a soup was presented in short order. We will be getting more of this on a return trip!Entrees were beef fajitas and tres enchiladas. We will pass on the fajitas next time as we prefer our beef grilled then sliced and placed as the dish comes out. Just not fans of the pre-sliced beef. The enchiladas were outstanding! She preferred the cheese as it reminded her of growing up on Texas while I leaned in harder on the chicken enchilada. Beans and rice were on point and we hated to not bring all of it back to the boat!
I had the chips and cheese and tacitos. I liked it. This restaurant is open year round for the locals.

This was super good! I’m from CA and now live in TX and I would frequent this joint if they were where I live. The cheese enchiladas were probably the best I’ve ever had and the beef taco was super tasty! Def recommend this place!

I had just gotten into Juneau and was starving, I haven't had Mexican food in a while, so there I ended up. It was fine, nothing special, after my travel hangover wore off, I realized there are many more interesting and tastier options close by. It's not bad, it's not great, if you want it, get it, but I'd take a second and look around a bit first.
