McGivney's Sports Bar & Grill

Extremely disappointed. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet we waited over two hours. Food arrived cold and overpriced. Staff were shockingly rude—our server slammed our checks on the table after a billing mistake and long delay. Completely unacceptable service. Our to-go order was $52 for RAW burgers. If this is the standard of service you offer, I can assure you I won’t be returning, and I will not hesitate to advise others to do the same.

The Buffalo Chicken Blue sandwich is amazing. Seriously. It was so good that we went back a couple days later to eat it again. The most memorable food item on our entire trip to Juneau. Hmmm…I wonder if I have enough airline miles to go back just for dinner?

McGivney's has never failed to provide an excellent experience every time I stop by to grab some food. The wait staff are always friendly and accommodating. And the chefs are always on point! My favorites are the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and the poutine. I love the fun cocktail menu - I try to sample a new cocktail each time, but my favorite so far is the Gummi Bear. I usually snack on the fried green beans while I wait for my food - definitely a must try if you haven't already.

We asked a local where the best fish and chips were in town and they pointed us here. It is a dive bar but the fish was so amazing that we didn't care. Great food and good value. Would eat here again in a minute.

Last few times we ordered food for pick up the quality was terrible. Last order just burgers and fries you could have held the entire order of fries in the palm of your hand with room to spare, they were running out of all kinds of stuff and I feel they split one order of fries between 3 meals .Tonights order the chicken tenders and (halibut-$32) were so over cooked they were hard and dry. I’m an old cook/restaurant manager and I would have been embarrassed to serve food like that especially the halibut.

Even though it's a sports bar it's Def family friendly during lunch and dinner hours, and I'm talking about their downtown location in the 4 points hotel. I'm sure sure about this location by Mendenhall mall area.

We love this place! We go to Juneau every year for our anniversary and this place is a must visit when we go. Always great service. The Halibut fish and chips is some of the best I've ever had. The cocktails are always great, my husband tried the citrus mule and it's now it's his favorite drink. If I had to say something that was not the best I'd say don't order the fried jalapeño they were disappointing. But everything else was amazing. Oh and do the right thing and sub the sweet potato fries they are to die for

Seafood combo basket was delicious! Large shrimp, tasty halibut, and freshly-made crab cakes made in-house. They also make their sauces in-house. Nice atmosphere. On the way to Mendenhall Glacier, it’s a great place for lunch.

I went there and got fish and chips you get less than a hand full of french fries and three little fish sticks I could go by in a store, it cost 123.00 dollars for 4 small orders, I miss the downtown McGivneys it was so much better, I would have closed the valley Mcgivneys it's pathetic!
