Had the philly sandwhich and it was excellent. Comfortable booths, fast service, polite staff.

We got the poutine and the nachos to start and they were good but nothing too special. The gyro and combo basket were good as well.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! Four of us just went to the downtown McG’s recently for dinner. Two pear & goat-cheese salads seemed to be without any dressing so we asked the waitress for some. She indicated she’d have to charge us if she brought some despite her understanding that the salads were dry. She indicated it was her bosses policy. We won’t be heading back there. I’ve been a fan for a long time so this was really disappointing. No issues with valley location so we’ll probably go back there.

Food tasted good but there was bit of a wait on everything. Minimal staffing during evening hours made drinks and food order take longer. Otherwise food was very tasty.

The waitress gave us the impression it was an inconvenience to clean down the table we had sat at. She made it known if we wanted ice with our drink she would need to go and get it. They offer a vegan burger without a vegan bap, ridiculous as it was the only plant based option apart from asking for an animal free salad. Waitress actually asked if we wanted change when we paid the bill, I felt this was incredibly rude!Dietary restrictions: Don't visit if you are plant based.

Our excursion was cancelled due to weather, decided to catch the Lions-Seahawks game. We were told McGivney's had the games, so we trekked over there. About 30% filled, games on every TV but one, but no Lions-Seahawks. Small TVs at a few open tables, so we figured we could at least get it at a table. We asked a server for the game, he said it was first come / first serve on the games, we could ask the bartender to put it on a TV but it was not likely. Or, we could rent the VIP area and watch what we wanted. Either apathy or greed, they were not willing to put our preferred game on one of the 20+ TVs. What a joke! We walked down the street to a place with some actual ambiance (Red Dog Saloon), put the game on my phone, and dropped $150 there. Hope it was worth it for McGivney's, I'm sure our server at Red Dog was happy for the generous tip.

Great burger! This is the real deal, 1/2lb of meat, large steak fries. I've ordered it about fifteen times in the past several weeks and it's always very good.

My husband and I got in later in the evening and was happy to see that the hotel restaurant was still opened. We were shocked that there were many tables dirty with stacks of dishes on them. Turned out they were understaffed and one poor girl had to keep dishes on the tables so people wouldn't sit at them just so she could get put up running out food! They had run out of a few items, so they had clearly been busy. Despite all that, our server was still very upbeat and very kind. We got our food pretty quickly and the food was actually quite good (Rueben and BLT).

Good things first: the wait staff were very friendly and polite. A special shout out to our sever Ryan who was great. The food was delicious. The setting was cozy and classic. It was great being able to enjoy a meal in the comfort of our hotel. It was disappointing in the sense that the information about the restaurant as listed on the hotel site was so incorrect. Part of choosing the hotel and restaurant for our dinner was the listing for "live music or karaoke " neither of which existed and from what we were told may not have ever or in a very long time existed. I ordered an appetizer as my entree, which Ryan understood, but unfortunately the bartender did not. It was "plopped" on the table without a pause, without any appetizer plates, and well ahead of my husband's meal. Ryan did an excellent job of "speeding up" my husband's meal to help correct the situation. It put a bit of a damper on our experience. While I won't say "I will never go back" it is unlikely it will be my first choice again.

Great halibut burger and fries. Service was NOT good. Fries were almost cold before our server brought us napkins and flatware.
