Have you reached your breaking point with restaurants with too many choices? Do your eyes get tired reading through pages and pages of food options? Do you want simple? Then you have found your home at Pel'meni. You get no menu, 2 options, and at least 1 lb of tiny dumplings. Open late, delicious, no frills. Everything good comfort food should be.
Great spot for a simple, affordable, yummy meal. Only two options here - beef or potato filled dumplings with a slice of bread for $9. Top with butter, vinegar, curry powder, Sriracha, sour cream, and cilantro. Just go for it all! Unassuming, hole-in-the-wall location with limited seating. Open quite late, too.
This place clearly doesn't need another glowing review but I'm gonna give it one anyway. I've been coming here every time I'm in Juneau for the last ten years and it is exactly the same as it was the first time I came. The consistency is remarkable. And the food is amazing. You know how good you have to be to survive only offering two food choices? Out of this world good. And it is. If you're in Juneau you have to go here. Have to. It's the best.
