We stayed at the Ramada Inn, Juneau, for Ironman Alaska. The hotel was only about 100 meters from the shuttle pick-up site (museum driveway), very convenient. Also, the views from the rooms facing the Gastineau Channel were breathtaking. The walk to downtown Juneau was minimal, so we really didn't need a car to find great food options. We could easily walk to the tram to the mountaintop and to launching points for paid "shore excursions." The room was large (king suite) and adequate. My only negative is that the whole hotel is a little old and run-down; however, it has been my experience that this is the case for most hotels in Alaska--I guess you're supposed to focus on what is OUT the window, not inside. The furnishings and amenities were comfortable and everything was in good working order though.

First, we chose this hotel because of the location , walking distance to downtown, although there were not that many choices to pick from when we went. My husband booked it 7 months ago I believe and just took what he could get, which ended up being a crappy basement old room that literally faced the parking garage a couple feet away. The room itself was clean and was spacious. TV channels left much to be desired, half of them were consistently frozen and unwatchable. The old dial on the wall that should have controlled heat or a/c did nothing so no air flow what so ever in the room. They placed fans in our room as well as our friends. We asked to switch rooms a couple times and were told they were full, which I am sure they were because of the Ironman race. The good things were the front desk staff and the restaurant on site. We ate breakfast at the restaurant almost every day and the food and service were always good. Also appreciated the coffee bar in the lobby. For the amount of money we paid for this room I expected more.

The front desk personnel were the best feature of the hotel. They were professional, personable, knowledgeable as to what was going on in the city, with the weather, and dining options. When we told them of our next day plans they had ordered a taxi before we came down to the lobby, and followed up to ensure the taxi was coming. Our room was large and had 2 queen beds which were comfortable. The rooms were neat and clean, but were on the older side.

Hotel is on the waterfront, very walkable into the touristy area, but just far enough away from the large cruise ship looming on at the dock. We had a great view from room and watched a pair of eagles setting roost each day. Nice to have an in-house restaurant where we could ger a full breakfast with a lot of choice.

Trash in the room upon checkin. Someone’s used water cup next to the bed. Food on the couch and floor. Finger and hand prints all over the windows. We left, it was disgusting. Not worth $300 a night. Front desk was no help whatsoever. Save your money.

A clean but unexceptional hotel a 10 minute walk from the harbour. Large but dated rooms and basically just functional….. another seasonal hotel that offers a bed for the night. Location next to the museum is nice and the WiFi worked, but that’s about it. Front desk service was a bit unfriendly…..

The location and staff make this a great place to stay. While the hotel itself is a bit dated, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They greeted us like old friends and were able to offer great suggestions for things to do. Suzette was especially helpful and welcoming. This hotel is within easy walking distance to downtown and the cruise line port, where most local tours originate.

I have enjoyed staying at Ramada by Wyndham Juneau for the past year. The service and support form staff has been excellent and I plan to continue to stay here for business trips and just visiting friends in Juneau. The location is central to activities and events. The staff are helpful and make sure you have everything you need for your stay. Thank you for an exceptional visit.

We were glad we stayed at the Juneau Ramada because 1) the restaurant downstairs is convenient and delicious; we there three times, 2) we were able to walk to the area where you pick up tours and downtown restaurants, 3) the view of the mountains are water right outside our window (not true for all rooms there) was lovely, and 4) our room was very large with two beds, a living room area, and a little kitchen and dining area with a coffee maker and refrigerator. The only drawback was that Juneau was having a "heat wave" and there is no air conditioning, so we had the window open, but that also meant hearing the traffic and having the street light right outside of our window. But all of the positives very much outweighed this issue, and this issue is not an issue much of the time there in Juneau.

We were staying for six nights, two couples; so we wanted a bit more comfort. The manager, Lester told us about two rooms next to each other that had an adjoining entry, This worked out so great for us! They only have two rooms that have patio door access and waterfront views. The beds are comfy and the service was excellent. We had a problem with the drapes and the maintenance man(ZAK) came and fixed them promptly. All the staff and people we met were so kind and friendly. Juneau should be proud of them.

Great staff, good views, loved the covered parking in the winter. A minor issue with internet

Happy to say that front desk staff ( Chrystalyn, Lester and Anna) make it delightful to stay there; always willing to go the extra mile for their guest. Thank you guys! Know at this location you will be on what is the downtown area where restaurants and bars are at walking distance.

Excellent service and front desk staff. Great value! The property is a bit dated with limited hotel amenities. The restaurant and bar are very good with excellent service. The views from the restaurant includes enjoying high and low tides across the channel!

We enjoyed our stay here especially the hospitality of the employees, especially the concierges Lester and Miesha. There were so many things they helped us with to make our visit to Juneau so much better.
