We've always been treated well at the Valley Restaurant. When splitting a meal, they brought us an extra plate without us asking for it. The meal came with soup, and they brought us two soups. And the food was delicious.

So they changed the $16 hamburger and now serve it up with a 8th of inch pattie. Than I look on menu, if you want 1/4 pounder add $4,,,wow, your magic idea made me dissappear,,,you Won't see me or our very large family there again, it's just another old dump. Ps. You over cook your fried chicken to the point it's dry and hard to eat. Bye bye

Food was very tasty, had the chicken teriyaki with white rice and a salad. The portion was generous. I had to pack half of it for later and it tasted good even after reheating. This is a small family restaurant, it was clean, service was quick, staff was pleasant and price was reasonable.

Rude, Rude, Rude First time in Juneau and never again for this place!! The person that answered the phone is the reason each time I called she was rude.. I decided elsewhere you should also people never know who they may come across which is why you should provide good customer service to everyone!

Iām shocked that this place has as many stars as it does. It has me wondering if all the reviews are written by friends and family versus actual customers.
The food was expensive, tasted like day two cafeteria food that had been sitting out, and the service was poor.
We ordered two of the shrimp omlette which were plasticky and lacked flavor. There was no effort to add seasoning or even whisk the eggs so it was blended) and the shrimp they used was definitely not what they were advertising. These were the smallest shrimp Iāve ever seen; they were no bigger than a fingernail and seemed like they could have been dehydrated or ordered in a can. They werenāt even incorporated into the egg, just lazily thrown in plastic-like shell of egg and like the cheese was lazily sprinkled around.
We also ordered chocolate chip pancakes and strawberry and cream pancakesā¦ you canāt mess this up, right? WRONG. They brought out two plain pancakes then took them back, put some chocolate chips on top on one and legit SPREAD STRAWBERRY JAM (like Smuckers) and put whipped cream on top.
We also got a clam chowder that they said was āhomemade,ā but tasted like bacon chowder out of a can. No clams. Thick cream. Just no.
We also had a basic egg, toast, and bacon breakfast which was whatever. No flavor or quality to anything.
The total meal cost $77 which would have been fine if we werenāt paying for trash. All of this could have been made at home far better and for far less. We went to Deckhand Daveās for dinner and it was less than this and a million times more amazing!
On top of it, this place seemed outdated and dungey. I wish I followed my gut reaction to leave upon arrival and review of the menu, but I thought āHey! Maybe this is a cool local joint.ā It just felt like a scam.
I would give this 0 stars if I could.
