I got recommended this place by a local and it was so good. This is my new favorite restaurant in Juneau and I highly recommend the nacho dish.

Wait staff had either poor habits or training or both. Food was mediocre and surprisingly not the raved about food from DDD. Even after we complained the staff didn’t appear hyper concerned.

If I could give zero stars I would! Worst service I have ever had. We made a reservation for 5 people, showed up on time to no table set up. They tried to put two tables together that were not even the same size and were angry when we asked for same size tables. Server knew nothing about their signature cocktails or their house made spirits. Brought Appetizers for 5 people and we had to ask for appetizer plates. We ordered a bottle of wine that tge server brought to the table, put it in a chiller and walked away. Never offered water we had to ask for that. Our entire party ordered the short ribs and they were just horrible. Gray looking short ribs with a bad smell. None of us could eat it. Tried to tell server our concerns and she simply said ok. And then brought a check and no apologies for a very poor experience. Never again, not worth the stop.

Slow service, poor quality food, I was very excited to try this place out but after visiting I don’t think I will be returning.

A friend generously treated our group to dinner at V’s Cellar last night, and we were all excited—especially after spotting the T-shirt in the merch corner that boldly proclaims, “I’d rather choke on GREATNESS than nibble on mediocrity.” Unfortunately, our meal fell short of that promise.

What shone

The ceviche was bright, fresh, and genuinely the star of the table. If every dish matched that quality, this would be a rave review.

Staff were friendly and clearly wanted us to enjoy ourselves.

Where things slipped

Despite only one other table being occupied, it took nearly 30 minutes for our first round of drinks.

1 hour 10 minutes after ordering, both appetizers and entrées arrived together—so pacing felt more like a sprint at the finish than a smooth course-by-course experience.

Utensils and napkins came after the plates, leaving us awkwardly waiting while the food cooled.

My Korean short ribs were cold, and the accompanying rice was both under-cooked and mushy.

I understand every restaurant can have an off night, and I appreciate the warmth of the staff and my friend’s generosity in choosing the venue. Still, basics like timely service, hot entrées, and proper table settings need to align with that “greatness” slogan on the wall.

I’m rooting for V’s Cellar to deliver the excellence it advertises—I’d love to come back and experience that promise fulfilled.

Great vibe, service, and food! Had yummy vegan tacos, but was really contemplating the burrito as it came highly recommended by staff. I love the ginger tofu and korean chicken!

We stopped at V’s while in Juneau on our Alaskan cruise. Such a fabulous spot. Gina was a fantastic server. The food (nachos, short ribs, halibut bowl) was really fresh and flavorful. They decked out our table for my mother-in-law’s birthday. The drinks were different and tasty. I highly recommend this joint

Such a cool vibe. Tried all the options they had for vegan meat which came to 4 tacos. Each one was so good!! The ginger tofu was the winner for sure, but the “beef” was a close second. We also got a chance to try the peach shrub 10/10.

Get the nachos they are great.

The food was sooo unique and good. The vegan options are not fully vegan. I’m not sure if that was a server error (it’s ok!) or what. But cheese (dairy) and fish sauces are not vegan. It’s ok and everything was still good! The atmosphere is quiet and calming. service

We randomly found this place today. The nachos are a must order. Our server was Gustavo. He was friendly and did a great job explaining all about the menu and drinks.

Family of five (with four eating as we had a baby) with half of them vegans. Meals with tip cost around $130. - not including any alcoholic drinks. All of our meals tasted great! Everyone wanted to come back, I’m just not sure we would with how long it took to get our food and the price.
