Cute little restaurant right by our hotel. Brandon was an awesome server and whipped me up a custom drink based on what I was feeling. We also tried the gin daisy and the speakeasy; all so good. For dinner, we had the ultimate sampler, and lemme tell you, it was more than enough. I had the tofu taco and it was delicious. Husband had three other tacos (I don’t remember them) and he mopped all three up. We tried the fusion sauce and it was great too!

I almost knocked a star off because it’s not wheelchair accessible, but we came in understanding that a lot of this infrastructure is pre-ADA. We recommend checking places out on Google beforehand so you’re aware of the layout.

To my thinking, this is the most hip and fun culinary scene in Juneau (at least that I’ve found so far).

Many fun flavors, libations, and gluten-free options.

It was my first time at V’s today but definitely not the last!! I was warmly welcomed by the pleasant atmosphere at the restaurant- small and cosy - and by the server there - a young well-mannered boy. I ordered a burrito and a watermelon mint shrubs. I had no idea what shrubs is but it was great - housemade! The burrito was so big and filling that I wasn’t hungry for the rest of the day 😋.
If you want to experience an interesting and yummy mix of korean and mexican cuisine, be excellently served and have a great time - V’s is your place!

De belles options véganes à cet endroit, qui inclut plusieurs choix de tacos, ainsi qu’un bol de riz. Les options sont du tofu ou une fausse viande. La nourriture y est très bonne et le service excellent aussi!

Great service! Great menu and vibe!
The food was great too... except they put the special sauce on just about everything coming out of the kitchen and we didn't like the sauce. My suggestion would be to request no sauce on the food. There are bottles on every table. If it's your jam, you can put it on yourself.

I got recommended this place by a local and it was so good. This is my new favorite restaurant in Juneau and I highly recommend the nacho dish.

Wait staff had either poor habits or training or both. Food was mediocre and surprisingly not the raved about food from DDD. Even after we complained the staff didn’t appear hyper concerned.

If I could give zero stars I would! Worst service I have ever had. We made a reservation for 5 people, showed up on time to no table set up. They tried to put two tables together that were not even the same size and were angry when we asked for same size tables. Server knew nothing about their signature cocktails or their house made spirits. Brought Appetizers for 5 people and we had to ask for appetizer plates. We ordered a bottle of wine that tge server brought to the table, put it in a chiller and walked away. Never offered water we had to ask for that. Our entire party ordered the short ribs and they were just horrible. Gray looking short ribs with a bad smell. None of us could eat it. Tried to tell server our concerns and she simply said ok. And then brought a check and no apologies for a very poor experience. Never again, not worth the stop.

A friend generously treated our group to dinner at V’s Cellar last night, and we were all excited—especially after spotting the T-shirt in the merch corner that boldly proclaims, “I’d rather choke on GREATNESS than nibble on mediocrity.” Unfortunately, our meal fell short of that promise.

What shone

The ceviche was bright, fresh, and genuinely the star of the table. If every dish matched that quality, this would be a rave review.

Staff were friendly and clearly wanted us to enjoy ourselves.

Where things slipped

Despite only one other table being occupied, it took nearly 30 minutes for our first round of drinks.

1 hour 10 minutes after ordering, both appetizers and entrées arrived together—so pacing felt more like a sprint at the finish than a smooth course-by-course experience.

Utensils and napkins came after the plates, leaving us awkwardly waiting while the food cooled.

My Korean short ribs were cold, and the accompanying rice was both under-cooked and mushy.

I understand every restaurant can have an off night, and I appreciate the warmth of the staff and my friend’s generosity in choosing the venue. Still, basics like timely service, hot entrées, and proper table settings need to align with that “greatness” slogan on the wall.

I’m rooting for V’s Cellar to deliver the excellence it advertises—I’d love to come back and experience that promise fulfilled.
