On our cruise to Alaska, we stopped in Ketchikan and did a little shopping, while there we decided to have lunch at D'Santa's. OMG the best Mexican food I've ever had. I had the Casaberrea (sorry spelled wrong) and it was just the right spice and they give you so much, my husband had the fish taco's and he said the fish was flaky and delicious. Our waitress was D'Santa's sister and she was so pleasant to talk with. 5 *'s doesn't do D'Santa's justice. 10 STARS all the way.
Stopped in this restaurant while in port in Ketchikan after seeing they served Mexican food. I had the Chile Rellenos and they were very good. The plate of food would have served two, and was delivered to my table fresh and piping hot. The refried beans were especially nice.
The restaurant and restroom were very clean.
I enjoyed my meal and the break from cruise ship dining (and crowds). I will be back on my next Alaska cruise.

D'Santa's Restaurant is a local Mexican family owned business in Ketchikan. The carne asada is authentic, fresh and delish. The quesabirria plate exceeded expectations, and the birria recipe is a family recipe that has been passed down through generations. The halibut fish tacos were fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The quesabirrias were just as amazing. The enchiladas suizas were a 10/10. The portions are very generous, and the food has authentic Mexican flavors. The food was outstanding, every dish was fresh, flavourful, and expertly prepared. The food was worthy of a Michilan Star. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The customer service was phenomenal. The staff went above and beyond to make guests feel welcome, providing attentive and genuinely friendly service. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfectly captured the charm of Ketchikan. The atmosphere was simple, yet elegant. The music was very pleasant. The entrance isn’t the most inviting thing in the world. The overall vibe was okay but did take away from the overall experience considering how good the food was. The chips and salsa were good. The water didn't get refilled through the service. The receipt wasn't itemized. Parking might be hard to find downtown. For Mexican food this restaurant knocks it out of the park. Simply the most delicious meal eaten all year. Mexican may be a strange choice for Alaska, but seriously, eat here.
