Do yourself a favor and eat here. I grew up in Ketchikan, this is the best miso black cod I have ever had.
Great food and value for your money. I got the miso black cod bowl, and it had a very generous portion of protein!
It's an outdoors space, they give you a ticker to know when to come and grab the food. I bought the blacked miso and enjoyed its overall sweet flavors. It had the components of coleslaw but it was like a mild sweet vinegar, this was on everything. The fish did not have bones so I have an easy time recommending this.

Fishes and Dishes is the best spot in Ketchikan for Alaskan seafood. The cod tacos were delicious, with flaky fish and a batter that complemented the flavor well, elevated by sauce, pineapple, and purple cabbage. The cod miso rice bowl was fantastic, and the king salmon rice bowl is THE BEST. The absolutely best salmon, with the fish swimming the day prior. Recipes are very creative, using fish from a local fish processing plant, with an elevated treatment of 100% Wild Alaska seafood, from a Thai curry inspired salmon chowder to a smoked sablefish banh mi. The fish “fries” are a crispy succulent sensation, and the cod taco rivals any fish taco on the Pacific Ocean. Super friendly staff, with prices the best anywhere in town, right by the port. A must visit.
