“A great place to grab a well made coffee (Americano, Latte with oatmilk reviewed for food). Chill atmosphere, ample indoor seating, a few seats outside. The coffee shop is beside the harbor; excellent views of the fishing boats. A must visit when in Kodiak.“
“This place is a hidden gem! They have good coffee, and they even steam the milk for just a cup of drip. The atmosphere is unbelievably serene since it’s right on the water. The employees are personable and kind. I didn’t try the food, but my friends who had a scone and salmon bagel said they were delicious.“
“They use a delicious bean brew, to me has a special coffee 'liquor' taste on the back of my tongue. Anyways, always a solid drink here. My quality of life improved after they opened up right across the street from me! :) They had a great special today; Raspberry and Toasted Marshmallow Latte? Um, yes please! No hesitation. “Dear Starbucks Lovers,This is the one & ONLY Starbucks in Kodiak & I love it. I have to say I do miss my local Starbucks back home where I can sit down, study & people watch for hours...but Kodiak's Starbucks is nonetheless one-of-a-kind...for example, baristas get to creat their own special drinks like "The Kodiak Fog", "Berry Sweet Cold Brew" & "The Avocado Drink". Another special thing about this location is that there is NEVER a long wait lol. Also, you CAN'T order online (I kinda wish they did). Located inside Safeway on Mill Bay Road, they are open from 6am to 6pm, Baristas are friendly & the drinks are always on point. Kodiak has a lot of coffee shops, but I have to say I'm a Starbies Lover & drinking a PSL in the fall is always one of my favorite things.“
“You have no idea how much I appreciate Island Espresso being open at 5:30am! It’s literally saving me right now. I ordered a Jalapeño bagel with smoked salmon cream cheese, the bagel was crispy and the smoke salmon spread was even better. I also ordered a white mocha and it’s probably the only consistent white mocha that I’ve had no issues with. I’m always a returning customer because the service is always great regardless what time of day I go.“
“My trip to the McDonald's was fine, with a few weird things that happened. Ordering was fine, although ordering at the counter was difficult. It took around 15 minutes to order my food, but they were super kind and understanding. Preparing the food didn't take too long, but they messed up my order. My happy meal had ingredients I didn't ask for on it, like a bun. I asked specifically to remove everything except for the pickle, and to add extra salt and mayonnaise, but they didn't include the mayonnaise or salt, and included a bun, which was not asked for. I also ordered a McDouble, and removed everything except for the bun and added mayonnaise, but they buy a pickle on it and neglected the mayonnaise. My 20 piece chicken nugget was completely as asked, with nothing extra. The place's vibe was kinda off, they were short staffed, and the place was kind of barren, with only two other people in at a time. My accomplice was also followed into the bathroom and carefully watched by an employee. When we went to leave one of the doors had a bike lock and another had a padlock on it that wasn't there before. Thankfully one of the doors was still open, so we were able to leave. The whole event felt like a fever dream. Other than those odd occurrences the staff was really kind and understanding, and the food was fine.“

Friendly and informative staff, large selection of coffee based drinks (cappuccino and chagacinno reviewd for food). Good selection of pastries, desserts, and light meals. This location has monthly featured artwork by local artists.“
