Olds River Inn, Restaurant & Brewery

INCREDIBLE sea food restaurant! I ate there with five of my best friends and we had THE BEST meal i may have ever had. We ate fresh oysters, tender and delicious calamari and squid, fantastic black cod, and the BEST chowder I've ever had. I can't wait to get back to Olds River next time I visit Kodiak.

Food was good service was good no complaints from me. Just know it's a bit of a drive and make reservations beforehand

Had dinner for the first time at Old's tonight & it was amazing. Every item on the menu was delicious, you could tell how much thought and time went into the ingredients and cook. The service was also great. I wish we would have come here sooner. This was a great experience overall for our family and easily the best food on Kodiak. We look forward to coming back💚

The food is good in a unique location, but the reputation stands true that the owner is rude. She makes you feel like a burden for dining at her restaurant. We’ve been here a couple of times; the first time she had us sit at the bar because we didn’t have a reservation even though the restaurant was completely open. Only 2 other couples came in during our meal. The second visit, we were having a lovy anniversary meal out on the porch until she came outside and started yelling at some customers’ kids for playing down by her garden (they weren’t touching the plants, just in the grassy area.) I find it quite strange to be the owner of a restaurant but then act inconvenienced by customers.

The drive itself out to this beautiful spot is worth every minute. This restaurant has so much neat history on the walls, and the views from the deck are gorgeous. The food is top notch. Make a reservation.

Had a dinner reservation at 7:00pm.. At 8:45pm still waiting for my fish tacos.. when I asked when my dinner would be ready, was told by the server that I would get my dinner when it was ready. Very rude!
The meal was tasty when it finally arrived but definitely not worth the wait and hassle.
A long drive from Kodiak and a long wait for dinner.. can’t recommend this restaurant.

Average restaurant, above average location. Our family of 4 adults and one child were highly recommended this restaurant - it sits in a great spot for travelers, but would not recommend as a “must visit”.
The fish tacos and fried yelloweye were outstanding, the grilled halibut a bit dry. We were never advised of the specials, which we would have ordered, and the beer choices are limited.
We were asked if we had a reservation for a weekday at 5:30pm, but the restaurant was never full while we were there.
The prices for the menu were average.

Food & drinks: The restaurant and bar are very nice, roomy and clean.

Best dinner site near downtown Kodiak. Especially the filet mignon oscar was great, though a bit expensive

08/19/2023: Pit stop for lunch before heading to the spaceport and Fossil Beach. Really great menu options. Ordered Halibut cheeks and filet. Very satisfied. Staff was friendly. Clean and open setting.

Awesome food and service! We did not stay in the cabins but enjoyed the restaurant! Great food and bar choices! Would absolutely recommend this being a go to place on the island.

Twice we have waited over a hour to get our food and the order is REALLY wrong. No apologies and not even any genuine care. Long drive and wait for a expensive mediocre meal. Never again.
