I've been stopping at this place for 50 plus years. It's always been a good place with fair prices to boot. Not anymore. I just paid 42 bucks for a couple of cups of chowder and a draft beer. I don't mind paying but I don't appreciate being gouged like a tourist. Ridiculous even by Kodiak standards. I should have asked the price but didn't feel I needed to. The Ferry had a way better deal for the chowder and you were satisfied after you ate it. Not here.

Good food for a decent price! I got a half order of the fish and chips and their clam chowder. The clam chowder had a nice spice to it, and a good amount of clam. It could have had more bacon, and been a bit more creamy, but overall it was good. The fish had a nice crispy panko crust, and the fries were cooked in beef tallow. The prices weren’t too bad for the portion sizes, and it seems most ingredients are locally sourced.

One of the best places in Kodiak. Their hours for food is different but the atmosphere is typical Alaska and the staff is great. A must if you are in Kodiak.
Parking: Parking available just gotta watch the potholes ! But totally worth it.

This is such a great place to eat on the other side of town. The owner was very nice and helpful. She helped us pick out what to order and was very quick and efficient. The food came out so fast & hot. There is a full bar along with a pool table and darts to enjoy. It is pretty outdated though. The food was excellent! There were no complaints! Everything was so filling, tasted fresh, and great quality. The cod sandwich was delicious and the fish tacos were incredible, it's a go to dish. The smoked salmon pasta was very good, I could eat that every day! The clam chowder tasted so good, it had so much flavor, slightly spicy, but it was mainly full of potatoes and only one small clam. It was also more of a soup than a chowder since it was more watery and not thick at all. I prefer chowder to be thick and creamy, but the taste was super delicious! This is a great spot if you're on your way home from fishing, or just want to take a nice drive and enjoy some great food!

Good old fashioned pub and eatery. The clam chowder is good, slightly spicy. I had a cod sandwich. It was OK, the cod had some really tough bites in it. The hot sauce on the table is good but be warned, it will light your mouth up!

Google hours are wrong. Kitchen is only open for a few hours on Tuesday-Friday. Closed kitchen on Saturday-Monday. Their website reflects the new hours.
Came back on Tuesday to try the food. Salmon burger was moist & tasty. Clam chowder was REALLY good with a spicy kick. (Photo shows it with saltines in it, a throwback to my childhood).
Quick & pleasant service. Glad we came back.
