After three days of being disappointed with the quality of cooked fish along the Seward waterfront, we stumbled upon "The Salmon Bake" on our way to see the glaciers at Kenai Fjords National Park. This turned out to be the best seafood we had during our entire trip to Alaska. The baked salmon and halibut were cooked to perfection—juicy and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The customer service was excellent, adding to the overall great experience. Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior is surprisingly spacious, and they even have a full bar. Every penny we spent there was worth it. I’d give this place a 10 out of 5 if I could!

This place had good food, great ambience and excellent service. We had dinner on the way back from hiking Exit Glacier.

The food was delicious, the staff was outstanding, not a long wait. Atmosphere was very fun. The fish, the pickles, the whole menu. Will definitely be back. Thanks.

So good we made a point of stoping back and eating twice at the end of our trip. The seafood chowder to go is your fast food order for the hungry family. If you have time, crab cakes and everything else is great too. Even the cornbread. All down home delightful. And we are foodies too!

tourist trap. flavorless food at insanely high prices (basically New York City prices). weirdly dull / flat atmosphere. avoid! lots of better places downtown.

Best fish I have had in Alaska, while touring on land for 10 days. Halibut fries appetizers were delicious. Also had the blackend Halibut steak which was quite plentiful and delicious. Cozy, pleasant rustic environment. Friendly, attentive and welcoming service. A must if you are in the area.????

We got the burger and halibut chunks. Both were disappointing. First time here this year, and the place has a different feel to it. New ownership??

I ordered the seafood pasta and crab cakes here, expecting something good based on the high reviews. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. The seafood pasta was bland, and the crab cakes were tiny and tasteless—I've had better from HEB. I was also really hungry, so it was even more frustrating. Don’t waste your money here. It’s not worth the hype.

Halibut nugget appetizer was great along with the salmon and halibut entrees. Blueberry cobbler dessert was good to.

One of the best places to eat salmon, without a doubt it is the most delicious salmon I have ever eaten ? I highly recommend it, the delicious seafood cream, the luxurious cuts of meat. 10/10

Their saying is 'cheap beer and lousy food'. Neither of which is accurate. The food was lousy. The atmosphere was okay. I ordered the halibut. The fish was
cold when I received it. The waitress's response was 'I will just pay for it. We can't take anything off the bill'. I would have preferred a warm meal. We definitely will not go back. Cold food and terrible service.

We have been enjoying many restaurants in the town of Seward this week. We heard we needed to try this place out. After hiking at Exit Glacier, we stopped by. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and noticed many open tables. It was 6:30 on a Sunday evening. We were told we had to sit in the bar since it was only 2 of us. We decided that would be fine and followed her. There were two spots wedged between multiple people staring at a wall! ?? Seriously? We asked if we could please sit at one of the open tables. There were at least 8 open tables. We were told that the manager doesn't allow two people to a table. Therefore, there was an entire bar crammed with people eating expensive food staring at a wall. No thanks.
