A Hidden Local Gem – Warm, Homemade Crepe Experience
Le Barn Appetit is a true local gem. It’s a tiny, cozy spot with just a few tables, and that’s exactly what makes it feel so special. The crepes are made to order right in front of you by the sweetest lady, which gives the whole experience a charming, personal touch. The waffles were also excellent — crisp and light with that homemade taste.
What really stood out is how it felt like being welcomed into someone’s warm, inviting home for breakfast. Nothing felt commercial or rushed — just real, authentic, homemade cooking made with love. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a genuine kitchen where everything is prepared with pride, this is it. A must-visit if you’re in the area and want something heartfelt and delicious.
Every year we make a few trips to this adorable creperie. The location is so serene, and the owner also cooks the dish right in view of the dining room, what a wonderful experience. I’ve had many different crepes, as well as the Belgian waffle and everything is always DELICIOUS. Because of the setup, it can sometimes be a little bit of a wait to get your food, but it’s definitely worth it. Do yourself a favor and make a stop on the north side of Seward for breakfast.
I would strongly recommend their crepes as they are some of the best I have ever had. This place has a wonderful history about how Janet started it, and the servers were friendly and polite. During my stay in Seward, I had breakfast here twice and tried both savory and dessert crepes, along with a waffle for my little one. Everything was delicious and I truly recommend it.
Just went to have some crepes! Less busy than it should be for the quality and care they give. They have over 20 kinds of tea, home ground italian coffee, and dozens of crepes, plus special ones according to the season.
Excellent crepes with an eclectic space to sightsee.
Absolutely awesome crepes ever! Every time we are in Seward we go for breakfast. The owners are super friendly and always stop by at the table to check in. We are already looking forward to our next trip so that we can go enjoy the most delicious crepes!
The crepes were amazing and the tea was perfectly brewed. Loved the chef — super friendly lady

Greating from Polish Team
I can not say enough positive words about this experience. It made such an impact that we chose to eat there twice during our 2-days in Seward. Great history, with one of the co-founders masterfully creating each crepe for every customers' order. Very engaging, friendly, and welcoming to clients from around the world. Charming interior. Tables on the covered porch offer stunning views of nearby mountains. We spotted Dahl sheep walking near the mountain's snow cap with binoculars, while eating lunch on the porch one day.
One of the best Craperies I have been to make sure to try the Philly cheese steak one.

Delicious made to order crepes. Don't be shy. Order several!
Stopped for brunch on the way out of town. Fantastic food, good service, very polite and friendly. Self serve coffee with all the condiments, it was very good coffee. Definitely would visit again and recommend to others!
Easy to get to! The crepes are huge!! Great selection and the waffles are thick and hearty!!
Cute and cozy creperie run by a graceful lady who pours her heart into her delicious crepes. Wonderful experience staying at the cabin and enjoying breakfast.
The crepes were appropriately portioned and not overly sweet, basically nothing American, which is why it was so good.
