King Salmon from this food truck is a MUST. They don’t do anything too fancy beside grilling it, put it on a bed of rice and pour fresh pesto on top of it, but the salmon was soooo delectable. Also try their lingcod sandwich too!
Pleasantly surprised with the quality and staff's kind hospitality. Ashmo's featured some the best fish and chips I've ever had - it was served fresh, hot, and delicious. The owners checked with every customer to ensure that they enjoyed their food and took great pride in their business. Prices are also very reasonable with entree menu items ranging from $13-$17.
I've had fried fish many places that are famous for it, and I kid you not, I think this is the best I've ever had. Or at least right up there with any other contender. Absolutely delicious fish and chips. The mac and cheese (I think it had lobster?) was also very good, but the beer battered rockfish fish and chips will absolutely blow you away. If you're visiting Sitka from a cruise ship, do yourself a favor and stop at this food truck for a bite to eat. Worth standing...
