Burger was good, iceberg/spinach salad with rockfish had perfectly cooked fish but no spinach. So, kitchen can cook well and in a timely fashion, but runs out of items (yeah, it’s Alaska). Problem lies in hit-or-miss service. Tables were about half occupied. The couple next to us sat down 10 minutes after we did, yet had finished their dinner before we even got food. Plus, their server checked with them multiple times while we had to beg our server to even talk with us after 30 minutes of waiting. When we did get a refill on water, it was soda water - obviously a mix of inexperienced wait staff. At least the place was open - most places were closed as there were no cruise ships in. Recommend you make sure you get competent service quickly or go elsewhere if possible.

Our family of 6 enjoyed a wonderful lunch here. We had about a 15 minute wait time for a table, as they were super busy when we visited. The food was so very good and flavorful. The Mexican phillysteak and reuben were our favorites.
We had a nice meal at the Bayview while on shore from our cruise. The place was packed but the staff found room for us and were right on top of things with the service. Nice local place to enjoy a pint and meal.
Seafood chowder was thick cream potato soup with a few carrot slices and a little grit, not much chewy seafood. Salmon burger was a big hunk of salmon on a bun. Windows were fogged so we can’t see the bay. Very loud swearing 6-8 regulars next to us only quieted down after the manager sitting with them yelled that they were cut off, no more alcohol. Room was echoey, hard to talk in. $100+ for soup, salmon &fries, halibut fish &chips.

Visiting Sitka from Texas. This place was recommended by a local taxi driver. Great food. I had the Halibut & chips - great. Cooked to perfection. Wife had blackened rock fish and seafood chowder. The fish was awesome with a little spice. The seafood chowder was absolutely amazing. I would definitely go here again on my next visit to Alaska. Service was quick, efficient, and friendly.

I had to find a server to help me. I was not impressed with the taste of the food relative to the price I paid. I had the fish and chips. The fish was meh, and the tarter sauce was weird.

Grabbed a quick beer and bacon and blue cheese fries before hopping back on the Cruise Ship. Good place to take a load off and relax. Recommended by the locals. It's a local watering hole. There's a fur shop below that is worth doing a walk through as well.

Food was good! We had the bacon and blue cheese fries, rueben sandwich, and wings. Food came out correct and in a timely manner. I did see a few waitresses standing around and it took an extremely long time to get out check and be able to leave.
