I have worked on cruise ships for many years and every time we went to Skagway in Alaska I had to go down to eat at The Station Bar & Grill. A little neglected place, maybe the infrastructure needs to be modernized, but it is a place with very friendly staff (including waiters and bartenders), they serve quickly, the food is delicious and the alcoholic drinks are served at their temperature. The food arrives quickly and you can tell that they do it at the moment by its flavor, temperature, textures. Every time I went I would order a burger and their famous clam chowder. Wow! How can something so simple be so delicious! The prices may not be the cheapest but I can say that it is 100% worth paying for what they serve. Maybe the service should improve a little, the infrastructure too, but the presentation of their products is the best and there is no need to pay for more expensive restaurants in the area that serve less quantity and lower quality. Totally recommended if you travel to Alaska and go on a cruise, take a look here. Tip: go early because it gets busy at lunch time.

Great place! Food was great, service was phenomenal, atmosphere was comfortable. Had the fish and chips, sourdough jack x2, and all meat pizza. All were great!

I never knew I was a clam chowder guy until I tried the clam chowder here. Everything else was delicious and brought out very quickly. Great place to stop!
Visited at the end of the season and enjoyed great food, extremely friendly service, as well as tips for local hikes to check out. The chowder was excellent, highly recommend. We also ordered blue cheese and bacon burger and onion rings. Everything was delicious!
