Cute little shop in downtown Skagway. They have a little something for everybody in there, but their specialty is fried dough, much like an elephant ear that you would get at a county fair. It was insanely good.
Nothing appeases a sudden snack craving better than some freshly fried bread. Especially on a cold windy drizzly day in Skagway, Alaska. We came by on a brief stopover on the Nieuw Amsterdam to ride the Klondike train followed by a walkabout town. Saw this from a distance with a crowd milling outside - it had to be good. No regrets! What gem of a place we found after our train ride. We saw the sign and wandered in, so glad we did. The warm fried dough, the crunch from the cinnamon sugar, we loved (and fought over) every last bite! If you're ever in Skagway.... do yourself a favor and stop in! It's a magical experience. Can't guarantee you'll get a rainbow afterward eating a Doughboy.... but we did!
