“My husbands mother lives in Soldatna Alaska, we live in North Carolina. She is dying of ALS. We wanted to send her some flowers but being Alaska, prices are outrageously high and we were told of delivery fees of $65 or more from florist in the same town! We knew there is a Safeway in Soldatna and the thought came to us "Maybe we can get some flowers from Safeway sent to her by door dash or something like that" So my husband called Safeway, explained the situation and they were so kind, gracious and helpful! So not only did they allow us to order flowers, they got them delivered to her door and I'm not sure how it came about, but we were told that a taxi brought them. We can't tell you how impressed we are with this store and their willingness to accommodate us in this situation. I'm sure these beautiful flowers have brought her a much joy as possible in her bleak situation. Thank you!!“
