This is the 2nd time I've eaten at Gingers. Pros: Portions are large, food is good, and service was fast. I've only ever eaten their breakfast items, but I'm sure their lunch is also tasty. From experience, I can definitely recommend the skillets, steak and eggs, and the pancakes. Probably will be my go to spot for breakfast in Soldotna. Cons: Nothing really except for maybe the coffee. I'm used to the taste of Kaladi Brothers, so the coffee was just meh. Maybe it wasn't fresh , but it was caffeine and warm, so it was still palatable.

Garbage skillet is so delicious, potatoes, ham, bacon, mushrooms, peppers onions two eggs and a hollandaise sauce. It's a heaping skillet, we always have leftovers. The biscuits and gravy are the best in soldotna, they even crisp up the biscuits, it's a great texture.

Garbage skillet is so delicious, potatoes, ham, bacon, mushrooms, peppers onions two eggs and a hollandaise sauce. It's a heaping skillet, we always have leftovers. The biscuits and gravy are the best in soldotna, they even crisp up the biscuits, it's a great texture.

The spot has a funky Alaskan vibe in an old mall and it's comfortable. The waitress was great, not an easy task when you're serving a weekend crowd and a jr hockey team. The food was awesome. Had the "garbage omelette" and it was well packed with delicious fillings and sizable. Really enjoyed the hearty breakfast which powered us up the road.

The food was very good. Service great! The atmosphere was old time dinner with albums and posters on the wall. Fun to read and look at. It is inside a Mall. No bathroom in the restaurant but, Mall restrooms close by.

Decent food good service. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. I got the home Fry's and they were really good! They were extra crispy and I love that. The chicken fried steak was good but it's not made from scratch. I have definitely had better but I have also had much worse. The burger my wife got was pretty good and if I had to do it again I probably would have had the burger or one of the sandwiches. Overall it's a pretty good dinner. I would recommend this place and I will go back.Parking: Tons of parking as this is a small mall so you definitely can find parking. I would recommend parking in the back of the building because gingers 8s located at the back entrance!

I've ordered many times from this place and enjoy the food. However, I tried to place a take out order today, the exact same one I've placed multiple times before, and instead was forced to deal with stubborn stupidity. All I wanted to do was substitute some french fries in place of icky vegetables for my $20+ dinner order. They refused to do it even though any cost to them would be negligible.I live within walking distance and honestly like their food but their refusal to accommodate such a simple request shows a total lack of awareness with simple customer service. Seriously? Subbing some french fries for veggies that I would throw in the trash is worth losing a customer? Not smart at all.
