The Duck Inn Bar and Restaurant

Took over 60 minutes for our food. We had to ask for silverware and when we requested a discount for our long wait, there was no manager on duty to approve it.

Chill atmosphere. Freaking awesome fish n chips. Nice crispy outside, tender flaky inside. Almost no grease. AMAZING!

Generally always like their meals, especially burgers or chicken tenders, tonight though I got chicken strips to go…they were pretty bad, the breading was awful, overcooked and hard, fries were soggy etc. maybe it was a different cook? Two nights prior got the same meal and it was pretty good. Love their chicken strips, hope this doesn’t happen again.

The room smelled like mold. The room had moldy food in refrigerator. When reported it to blonde waitress wed night she simply said the housekeeper does not come in till next morning. We requested a new room. She was very rude . Went and waited on others and let us wait for a long time. We spent over 600 bucks with food and rooms. Such bad service. We will not recommend this to anyone.

One of the best meals I had in Alaska. The serving sizes were huge. I wish I had time to go back because I heard they had amazing pancakes. We had burgers, chicken sandwich seafood platter, everything was fantastic

We had such an amazing experience here that I felt it deserved more than just a few words.

From the moment we walked in, the two young ladies working there were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Their hospitality made us feel at home right away. They even prepared a dish that wasn’t on the menu just for us. We asked if they could make grilled halibut, and they happily accommodated our request. It turned out to be absolutely delicious.

Every single thing we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Without a doubt, these were some of the best meals we’ve had during our trip to Alaska. You can really tell that they care about both the food and their customers.

One of the sweetest moments happened while we were eating. An older gentleman dining nearby came over to our table, smiled, and said, “Good-looking family, and good luck—you’re our future.” It was such a kind and heartwarming moment that made an already wonderful experience even more memorable.

This place isn’t just about great food—it’s about genuine kindness, warmth, and making people feel welcome. Experiences like this are rare and unforgettable.

I only wish there were more we could do to support this wonderful business because they truly deserve every bit of success. If you’re anywhere nearby, don’t miss the chance to eat here. We came to Alaska from California for a family vacation, and this was by far the best restaurant we’ve visited since we arrived. The seafood was absolutely incredible—honestly, even better than many places we’ve tried elsewhere.

Everything was outstanding. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The two young women who took care of us were amazing—so friendly, welcoming, organized, attentive, and incredibly fast. Their genuine hospitality made our experience even more memorable.

I’m not sure what the creamy mayonnaise-based sauce was called, but it was absolutely delicious! We fell in love with it.

For the first time in a long time, I left a restaurant feeling completely satisfied and truly full. Everything was perfect.

Was recommended to them for halibut and chips. Ordered it and it was truly terrible. Was so overcooked that it had zero flavor and was tough. The waitress noticed i wasn't eating it and I told them the issue. They were very nice, but offered no discount. I ear 1 peice out of five. AND..they were charging $41 for the dish. Very bad.

A little miss hap happened and they dropped my pizza. But it was well worth the wait. The food was amazing the coconut chicken stripe and there house made sauce. The pizza amazing cooked perfectly!
Staff was awesome and the vibes just right!

The service was amazing!! Our drinks were always full and they checked on us frequently. The food had generous portions so we could even take some home. Great job!
