“Very good shu mai. Tasty salad with a variety of textures. The small eggrolls (length and thickness of my middle finger) tasted more of crunchy wrapper than any interior filling. The chicken satay was overcooked. All sauces were sweet. Cost: $42. We ordered our food to go. The entree plates I saw as I walked through to order and pay looked enormous. The room was attractive and the atmosphere restful. I would try it again and just order a bit differently .“

“My mom and I flew in to visit a friend in Soldotna. While in town one day we stopped for lunch at BlackJaxx. While waiting on our order I was reading a paper that had been placed on their window. The paper told that they are family owned and from Oklahoma. I was hoping to try some original ALASKA bbq seeing how we had just flown in from OKLAHOMA 😂 I’m soooo glad we found this place!! I’ve eaten a LOT of Bbq in my life and this is without a doubt the best I ever laid my lips on!! We had the ribs, pulled pork, coleslaw and Bbq beans. The ribs were PERFECTION 🧑‍🍳😘It takes a lot to impress me when it comes to food and BlackJaxx did not disappoint. I will be making orders from their home location once we get back to Oklahoma ourselves. I give them 5+++ stars“

“We came in to get some food and the lady said no more dinning in. we ordered some sandwiches. Gave a nice tip as we showed up last minute and dang I'll be back! food was hot lady upfront was nice and held great conversations! also food itself taste amazing! also we were able to hang out at a table until food was done. “Absolutely delicious food! I called to place an order for pick up this weekend, and they were super busy (weekend in July in Soldotna). The lady who took my phone order got everything right and quoted about 30 minutes until it would be ready which I understood (again, super busy weekend evening in Soldotna in July). The food was ready right on time, and was delicious! I ordered the seafood chipotle dinner and it was wonderful! Perfectly cooked halibut chunks, large shrimp, mushrooms, rice and beans, it was all great! The portion size was enough I had enough left for 2 more meals! Definitely stop in for a delicious meal, and don't forget to tip your server!“

“The French onion soup and rueben were very good. The IPA was also very tasty. When we arrived, there was a line of people waiting for it to open, yet our wait was minimal. Also, there is no added charge for credit card payments, which is rarity in AK. The service and staff were also very good and efficient. This is a must visit for us. One tab works at both the drink and food counters.“

“The hubby and I went out for a dinner date last night and it was AMAZING!! If I could rate them any higher than a 5 I would. We both got the bacon wrapped filet mignon that was cooked and seasoned to perfection, we also got the delicious and super fresh mashed potatoes, the green beans were cooked just enough and for a treat we got a side of crab legs that were AWESOME!! Overall the whole experience was great the staff was truly great both the hostess and our server were so sweet and attentive. We will most definitely be doing back!“

A stunning dining room, attentive service and absolutely mouthwatering meals were not really expected during our fishing trip in Saldotna, AK, but that's exactly what we experienced tonight!
