We stopped for a burger after a 3 hrs hike on Matanuska Glacier. Was possibly the best burger and fries we have ever had! Great service too. Thank you
The Sutton General Store is a true hidden gem along the Glenn Highway. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s the perfect spot to stop for a break. The store has that classic Alaskan charm—warm, welcoming, and full of character. They carry everything from snacks and drinks to unique Alaskan gifts and necessities, making it a reliable stop when traveling through Sutton.
The staff are friendly and always ready to share a bit of local knowledge or a smile. It’s more than just a general store—it feels like a little community hub where you can grab what you need, stretch your legs, and soak in some small-town Alaskan hospitality.
If you’re driving between Palmer and Glennallen, make sure to stop here—it’s a piece of authentic Alaska you don’t want to miss.
High prices n uhfriendly staff
Fantastic stop to have on the edge of civilization. They have about everything you would need. The restaurant is great too
Very convenient location when I decided last minute I wanted an energy drink. A touch higher than in town but appreciate the convince in location to destination.
Very nice to us when we stopped in first thing in the morning. Also the homemade carrot cake and quiche are great 👌
Very friendly staff and great food!
Great food, drinks, and service! Fresh baked cinnamon rolls and pies, and really fantastic PIZZA AND BURGERS!!!
Decent prices. Good food. I’ll be back.
The cheese burgers here are actually pretty freaking good. I would totally recommend getting one of those or maybe even two. The cook was a pretty dude nice as well.

Ideal for a coffee break, place steeped in history
Was referred here by the cashier at Fischers hilltop. One of the best pizzas we've had in a long time! Open year round, 11AM-8PM.
