Had to try some ice cream since Alaska consumes so much and is known for it. I ended up getting the cookies and cream and it was outstanding and full of flavor. They had some unique flavors as well but I stuck with the one I know.

Nothing is good here. $10 for a scoop of melted soft serve with extremely rude service.

Cool flavor concepts but the fireweed ice cream didn’t taste like much
Great handmade ice cream! Just a hole in the wall on the only real street in Talkeetna. Shirley has some unusual flavors. She makes the ice cream herself.
It’s the only stop worth making on the street.
She’s as sweet as her ice cream too!

Gee, fireweed sure tastes like vanilla (with purple food coloring). Ice cream was good, but not worth $9. I would have been happier if it had fireweed flavor even if it was bad tasting...at least it would be legit

$9 a small scoop and the employee threw the tip jar at my wife for not tipping. The ice cream was not great either. $9 is a ripoff.

Northern lights and Fireweed ice creams are just vanilla with food colorings. Ridiculously expensive for what it is. Bad customer service.
Fireweed ice cream is just vanilla with pink coloring and Northern Lights isn’t much better, unfriendly service, overpriced — avoid at all costs

We loved the ice cream here! $9 a cone seemed a little pricey at first, but the cones are waffle cones, and a single scoop is very generous! Fireweed had a mild vanilla flavor, but a lovely vibrant pink color. Our daughter tried the Northern Lights flavor, which was passion fruit and raspberry and tasted amazing. We love ice cream and were very happy with this! There was a long line when we visited, but it moved quickly.

This is our first time trying their homemade ice-cream unfortunately they used food coloring for my vanilla w/ rasberries flavor. It tasted good but it was not worth $10 for my ice-cream especially not with the real fruit flavor. They should mention to their customers that what they use in the ingredient.

The fireweed ice cream was an interesting flavor. The price for the ice creams was a bit high.

Got a chance to try their famous fireweed flavor. It was absolutely delicious! We went there on a bright sunny day. Had fun strolling the street enjoying the ice cream!

Saw the sign of Fireweed ice cream so started asking where kept getting told look for the greed door I was on wrong street finally found it and Shirley was pulling in as I was asking the last time where as I got my ice cream she came up and asked if I’d like to meet Shirley with a big grind yes she introduced herself and gave her a hug and got a selfie with her. It was delicious I’ll take a gallon next time it’s that good. Also get the 2 scoop otherwise you’ll kick yourself you didn’t ?.
