“I don’t write reviews but I read them all because I travel a lot I use it as a source of deciding weather or not to stop. This place has by far some of the best food in Alaska. From the biscuits and gravy (which taste like my mom’s who was a southern cook) to the rain deer sausage everything. And the coffee is great also you can’t go wrong here.Parking: Plenty”
“This is walk up sit outside service and the burgers are THICK!! share if you dont have a big appettite or there will be leftovers. Everyone was super friendly and such a cute little town.”
“This is a great place and worth the drive if you got the time!Super cool staff. Lots of beverages to choose from. Beers, cider, MEADs, and now spirits! Great pizza and small plate items.”
“We just stayed the night last night to come to the Iditarod restart in willow with friends best experience ever the staff was amazing the rooms were clean the community was awesome so fun definitely will be coming back to stay ”
“We can to Talkeetna on a spur of the moment trip from Anchorage to try and see the northern lights. Had breakfast here the next morning and it was delicious, possibly the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had with homemade ingredients! 10/10 would recommend and hope to come back again sometime! We bought several goodies to take with us on the rest of our trip and everything was wonderful!”
“They family was so nice! We loved eating at Annie’s kitchen next to the tent and enjoyed the waffle hot dogs & pulled pork sandwiches with ice cream! Family owned business and we love the ornaments we bought hand made from local birch wood tree bark! These were $25 & $35 on the pricey side but handmade and local.”
“10/10! We traveled to several cities throughout Alaska, and all 3 of us agreed this place had the best food. It’s a quaint, small spot and our bartender/server was running it by herself. The wait was well worth it. It’s a very laid back/casual spot.”
“10 out of 10 for me! Went there with my Wife on our Honeymoon last night and enjoyed the service and food. Big fan of the baked salmon & anchovies pizza! Also enjoyed seeing the memory of USMC Medal of Honor recipient John Basilone being kept alive by his family who runs the place!”
“Right in downtown, perfect walk, and area for a beer and brunch. Inside and outside dining, outside you can have your pup! A great selection of food and beer. Family place. Often they sell local drinks from other breweries that you can buy!”
“We stopped here for cinnamon rolls back in July and were not disappointed. Absolutely incredible! The ginger molasses cookies were good too (and from my understanding you really can't go wrong with any of the baked goods) but the cinnamon rolls definitely won out in our opinion. Huge and reasonably priced, too.”
“After reading the reviews we decided to ride into town from our Cache Cabin and give it a try. We shared a scoop of Firewood Crunch and it was plenty for both of us. The crunchy pieces of waffle cone inside were great. Would definitely come back again.”
“The place is really small on the inside, but they have coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate, crepes, bagles, and more beverages for breakfast. Definitely a good little place to have a morning snack.Parking: The road by the places said no parking, but everyone was. So not exactly sure where else you could park??Kid-friendliness: This is a kid friendly place.Wheelchair accessibility: Difficult to get inside the building because of a step, and very small inside.”
“The food was delicious!! We started with seafood chowder and broccoli cheese soups which was very tasty and was great for a rainy day.We also had the muscles in wine sauce which was also very tasty. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu...she was very fun!The décor was homey and inviting. They had a bookshelf on the wall which had a hidden door to enter the restroom, fun!”
“Adorable log cabin building along the highway. Staff were very friendly. Extremely clean. Lots of parking. A very pleasant stop to grab a bite of popular foodWheelchair accessibility: Flat ground, no steps or ramps needed from the parking lot”
