“Nice bar restaurant on site at the lodge.
You can sit at the bar and eat without a reservation. They actually don’t take reservations.
Julie, our bartender was amazing.
Drinks and food were good”

“We had a large group of 8. We did have to wait about 30 minutes but it was definitely worth it. Our waitress was very nice. She checked in several times and kept our drinks refilled. The food was delicious. All 8 of us really enjoyed our dinners. If I was ever in the area, I would go back and I definitely recommend it.”

“My family was visiting Talkeenta and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here on our last day. Spinach bread, Blueberry Rhubarb Crisp, Breakfast burritos, Brazilian Limeade, and coffee. The food was amazing and my husband said it was the best cup of coffee he had had in forever. I wish we would have gotten some of the spinach bread take and bake for the road! I couldn’t recommend this place enough!!”
“The food is great, bar food so what you pay is what you get but the selection is quite fun! They usually have a decent selection of beer, and beer on tap. Staff is efficient and kind! In the winter this is one of the few local food joints, with regular hours. Kid friendly!”
“An absolutely amazing place to stay. Everyone is so friendly and the rooms are so comfy. Feels like you are home. Really hope we make it back here again soon.”

“I can’t express just how much I loved visiting Conscious Coffee in Talkeetna! My partner and I visited twice in one day for coffee and then lunch. The service was fantastic and we admired how efficient and friendly the staff is. The atmosphere was very relaxed, something we very much enjoyed after days of non stop driving through Alaska as well. My partner and I sat inside and looked through several books that I ended up adding to my wishlist for our hometown library. The dirty chai and bagel sandwich were both delicious!
Support local, fair trade, eco friendly, women owned!
Highly recommend!”

“We had a wonderful breakfast this morning. A delicious plate and great wait staff. We highly recommend.”
“They family was so nice! We loved eating at Annie’s kitchen next to the tent and enjoyed the waffle hot dogs & pulled pork sandwiches with ice cream! Family owned business and we love the ornaments we bought hand made from local birch wood tree bark! These were $25 & $35 on the pricey side but handmade and local.”

“Shirley's homemade ice cream is the best I ever tasted. It is soft serve and so creamy. I especially like the Fireweed flavor. I wish she open a branch here in Pennsylvania or a delivery service.”

“Awesome spot with a great patio!
We had the poached salmon special and the seafood mac & cheese—both were super tasty. Laid-back vibe and perfect for a relaxing meal outside.”

“Agree with others that are puzzled by the low reviews. Maybe there was a recent menu/staff change that improved things.
Anyway, very good food. HUGE portions. It's expensive because they kind of have to trapped there at the lodge. No real choices nearby to go to. So, they got ya. But, the plates are enormous. Most people could easily split an entre.
Service was very friendly. Seemed like maybe they were training new staff (seasonal, I'm sure, and we were there early May 2026), so things were a little slow. But, the food was delicious, lots of choices, and drink options were also numerous.
If you get seated near the windows, you have a breathtaking view of Mt. McKinley, assuming the clouds allow you to see it.”

“Good food, attentive service, and beautiful view in the back, made it worth dining at North fork. 2 other restaurants at Princess lodge are first come, first serve, North Fork is reservation only- that is convenient, don't have to fight the crowds. It is little more expensive compared to other two restaurants, however, it is well worth it. Both nights we dined at North Fork and enjoyed. Blueberry salad, Salmon bite, salmon chowder, blueberry glazed king salmon all were very good. Whipped feta appetizer was exceptional!”
