“Stopped here for a cuppa coffee and tea. On our way back to my brothers house. I ended up getting the blueberry cold tea, which was exceptionally good to my surprise. My wife had a cup of coffee, which she enjoyed standard. Definitely would go back. The views were exceptional.”

“Pricey since it’s an on-site restaurant for a cruise line hotel, but the actual food was very good. We had cheese curds, veggie burger, salmon chowder and kids chicken tenders. All were solid. If you’re looking for good bar food on the way to Denali, this ours a great spot.”

“Our waitress was either brand new or did not like her job. She would not let us get a side order of fries and made some excuse that it wasn't on the menu. It was right on the kids menu. She put in one order of shrimp cocktail instead of 2 and my Dad didn't get his until we were done eating. I also didn't get my adult drink until we were done eating. Disappointing.”

“After a horrible customer service experience at the neighboring North Fork restaurant we moved our party of 10 here. The service was exceptional. North Fork should learn from them.... it's about making the customer happy. The food was good but both our waiter and the manager was excellent.”

“The food is great, bar food so what you pay is what you get but the selection is quite fun! They usually have a decent selection of beer, and beer on tap. Staff is efficient and kind! In the winter this is one of the few local food joints, with regular hours. Kid friendly!”

“This is a good little basic coffee spot. They have coffee. They have a few offerings of food. They do bagels with a few different options on them. The bagels are okay but they're nothing amazing. They could use a little sprucing up but they are what they are.”

Family owned business and we love the ornaments we bought hand made from local birch wood tree bark! These were $25 & $35 on the pricey side but handmade and local.”

“Base Camp Bistro is conveniently located inside the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge. If you are staying there, it’s an easy spot for dinner. It does get busy so you can expect a wait either on a table or on your food. Servers work incredibly hard. Everyone is truly trying to provide great service.
Food was good. They were out of a lot of food items and drinks. Maybe due to it being close to the end of the season.
We tried the Caesar salad- the small portion is huge!! I can’t even imagine the large.
The halibut Reuben was amazing!!! So delicious. Highly recommend it. Salmon burger was just okay. Not a lot of flavor.”
