Base Camp Bar & Grill Reviews
Pricey since it’s an on-site restaurant for a cruise line hotel, but the actual food was very good. We had cheese curds, veggie burger, salmon chowder and kids chicken tenders. All were solid. If you’re looking for good bar food on the way to Denali, this ours a great spot.
Nice bar restaurant on site at the lodge.
You can sit at the bar and eat without a reservation. They actually don’t take reservations.
Julie, our bartender was amazing.

I don’t know why this place is rated so low. The mushroom swiss burger is soooo good and I’ve had plenty of burgers. The brioche bun is fresh and crispy outside and soft inside. The fries perfectly crispy. The salad a lot fresher than another 4.3 grill in another princess lodge. The wings crispy and not too oily. Service was great. And the view of Denali is just picture perfect.

Base Camp Bar & Grill is a nice on-site restaurant at the lodge, where guests can sit at the bar and eat without reservations, as they don’t take them. The small bar offers a limited menu, including the mushroom swiss burger, chicken wings, and fries, all praised for their freshness and crispy quality. The staff, including a friendly bartender, provides good service, and the view of Denali is picture perfect. Open for lunch from 11 am, it features a simple menu typical of a basic bar and grill. Prices are high, but the food and drinks are generally enjoyed.
