An absolutely amazing place to stay. Everyone is so friendly and the rooms are so comfy. Feels like you are home. Really hope we make it back here again soon.
Authentically delicious variety of unique, local sourced baked goods, handmade with class upon a wooden countertop. In fact, the whole building is a real treat and full of historic energy. Cherry on top is LGBTQ+ friendly flag. We 💗you too.
Best little roadhouse in Alaska!
Had excellent savory pastry with reindeer sausage in cheese for breakfast
Really nice people and super central. The rooms are very basic and unfortunately I could not get past the strong musty / mildew smell despite windows being open.
My review is for the bakery only. Superb!!! The carrot cake is to die for, and everything else I tried!
We only got items from the bakery - darn glad we did! We got two of the fried pies (pasties) and they were FULL of fruit and made to perfection! We heated for about 15-20 seconds and they were delicious! We also got two cinnamon rolls for the next morning - they were delicious as well. These are the type of cinnamon rolls full of the cinnamon/butter/brown sugar combination! Very sweet, very tasty! Pay attention to the day that you go to Talkeetna as there are shops closed on certain days.
We ate here and it was fantastic! Would highly recommend the raspberry cinnamon roll, regular cinnamon roll and the rhubarb turnover. One of the best bakeries we’ve visited!
A perfect experience for families with kids at the Little Cabin in the Back of the Roadhouse. Hearty hot breakfast, generous staff, hot showers, games/puzzles, and easy laundry access. What more could a family want?
I am only rating the bakery as I did not stay in the lodge.
These are the best cinnamon rolls you’ll ever eat. Ever.
The razzie defies logic. I wish they would ship them to the lower 48.

Amazing cinnamon rolls. So soft and flavorful - we loved the raspberry!!
The proprietor was amazing. She made us feel at home the moment we got there. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a great night.
older woman in bakery incredibly rude not friendly at all
Best baked goods, cozy upstairs rooms. Lots of reading material and board games/puzzles 💗
Beautiful historic property. We stayed 2 nights during winter, and it seemed like the place was all to ourselves. Trisha was an excellent inkeeper.
