I ate at Amelia’s on my birthday in 2005. I told the server it was my birthday and she was nice enough to gift me this coffee cup. I don’t remember what I ate, but I do remember that I was with my friends in the coldest part of winter on the Bering Sea. I’ve carried this cup with me all over the United States. Every time I enjoy a cup of coffee from it, I remember that awesome experience. I really want to go back here just because they gave me a coffee cup on my birthday over 20 years ago. I love this thing.

BLUF this is a overdue review from 2008 when I was in the USCG stationed in Kodiak. Thanksgiving is approaching now which is what jogged my memory of Amelia's. I'd eaten there many times from 2007to2009. But in 2008 I was there over Thanksgiving. Amelia's fed anyone who came in for free, it's been one of the best Thanksgiving meals I've had in my 54 years. Thank you Amelia's for the great food, the great memories and the service you give to all those who live or pass thru Dutch Harbor.

I read some of the reviews, but I wanted to see for myself If it was good enough to eat. I'm from texas.So i'm familiar with authentic mexican food, i would say that it's very american/ mexican style food. The salsa is not up to my standards at least but again, i'm a hard critic. Customer service was friendly, but not too engaging.Didn't seem like they knew the menu. But overall, better than a tv dinner. Take that as you like, we are in the middle of nowhere so not much options out here.

There is nothing special here, however in Dutch Harbor where choices are limited it is ok. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich was not very good, the pho soup was a HUGE bowl and was a meal alone. The beef tacos were pretty good. The server was very nice. Do not expect anything special, just plain food with a worn interior.

The food is good. The tacos taste very similar to original ones in Mexico. The service is not bad, but definitely is not the international standard as the people working there could or not serve you if they see you or if they are busy, but they are nice. Just call their attention (loud) and order what you want.

My daughter and I went here for my birthday the food was good I ordered a rib eye steak a sample of appetizer platter and one of their soups. The food was delicious and the service was nice would definitely recommend.
