best pizza in wasilla. good beer too
I recently visited bearpaw river brewing company and it instantly became one of my favorite spots in town. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel so welcome—it’s the kind of place where everyone greets you with a genuine smile, and you can tell they really care about their customers. The pizza was incredible—perfectly crispy crust with fresh, flavorful toppings. I tried the chicken bacon ranch and was blown away by how well-balanced the flavors were. It’s clear they use high-quality ingredients, and the attention to detail shows in every bite. The beer selection is also top-notch, with a mix of local craft brews and familiar favorites. The staff was super helpful in recommending pairings for our pizza, which made the experience even better. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable lingering—whether you’re catching up with friends or just enjoying a casual night out. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and the service is genuinely outstanding. I can’t wait to go back!
Delicious pickle pizza!!!
Great beer. Good pizza. Nice service. Live music outside. Overall worth a visit.
Excellent pizza. Better than Moose’s Tooth without the drive to Anchorage.
Stopped in to try a sampler, left with a Growler fill of Humdinger IPA. Delicious beers, my kid loved his orange soda 'draft', and wow what a friendly and helpful lady behind the counter.
The best pizza in Alaska and reasonably priced , friendly staff.
One of our first choices visiting Wassila. Searching for our new home would not have been complete without a delicious wood fired pizza and beer!!! Try the pear maple syrup drizzled pizza, was off the charts good! Brew is top notch! Thank you for the great experience! CS-SageMicroSpas
Tried two pizzas, bacon mushroom and sausage potato. Pretty good quality toppings but the crust/bread of the pizza was very chewy, quite difficult to eat. Might have been because we got it to go and ate it semi cold. Looked delicious, would try again in store
Really good Pizza! Super nice staff. Quick service and a great all local beer list!

Really good Pizza! Super nice staff. Quick service and a great all local beer list!
The beer is okay, not my favorite but isn’t bad. The pizza is a bit pricey, and hard to chew. BUT the flavors are really good and if you want to try it for yourself I recommend the Greek pizza. The atmosphere is great and everyone is really friendly. They definitely prioritize cleanliness and quality.
Servers are SO NICE!! Absolutely welcoming and friendly, and patient as well. Helped me figure out what I prefer to drink. Not to mention, how WONDERFUL the pizza is!! I'm SOOOO picky about pizza, and this is one of the best places to get some!! Definitely will be returning. Wonderful atmosphere ❤️
I’ve loved coming to the tasting room and was excited when the new brewery was opened and always enjoyed going there for pizza with my kiddo..Today however..disappointing.Stopped by the tasting room this afternoon..they were hosting a “holiday market”..and as I watched the vendors set up their areas I was surprised to see stuffed animals with horns and pentagrams on them..planchettes and other obvious occult items.I wanted to leave this review so others are aware of the kind of things this company supports..as I know there are other God fearing people in the valley whom may be unaware.
One of the best social drinking experience for a brewery in the valley! Wish there was a larger outdoor area! (Update: still the best!)
