Chicken was extremely overcooked and dry. It was also very bland. We weren't impressed with the sauces. The fries and the okra were good, but we were highly disappointed because we came for the chicken.

The fried chicken was delicious and worth the wait.

Terrible! Do not waste your time. I wish you could leave a zero rating. We walked in and it was not busy. We were seated right away, but no one ever came to take our order. We watched tables who were seated after us get served before us. We walked out. It had been several years since we had been here because of bad service. We thought we would give it another chance, but never again.

The food was excellent and the servers were very pleasant. If it's a busy night, the wait time for your order is a bit long, but we'll worth it. The noise level can be a bit high at times due to occasional parties. The prices are good considering the large amount of delicious food you get. Overall, it's a great experience.

The service was excellent. I was visiting Alabama and me and my three cousins always go to Champy’s! Well, I cannot complain about the taste of the chicken, because I found it very good. Two of us had the chicken, and my other two cousins had another meal. The common denominator between all of us was fried foods. Maybe it was the oil used for frying? Less than one hour after we left, all four of us had the worst stomach cramps followed by severe diarrhea. I do not want anybody else to get sick, which is one of the reasons I have decided to post this review. A child might have a worse reaction.
I will address the management when I say that I do not know the exact cause of the food poisoning, but I am 💯 % positive of the source. Having said this, I am imploring on your good sense to take action and find out what was the reason we all got sick after eating at your restaurant.

I have always enjoyed the chicken at Champys, and hope you get to the root of this so the problem can be resolved.

those tamales….. SMACKED! Love them so much! A must try! Really good when you prep it with the Cole slaw and cracker! Our server, Ana, was so nice too, she’s the one that recommended them!
