“We had a wonderful first time experience at Kiku Express in Alabaster. The food was amazing. We each had a different version of teriyaki but man it was so good. We had plenty of leftovers as well. The dumplings were my favorite. The staff were so nice as well! We will be back.”

Portions & prices are also extremely fair. I personally think Chubbfather's is the best burger joint in Shelby county. Highly recommend!”

“I’m going to still recommend this location but we had a not so great experience with curbside tonight. We ordered two feasts, a kids meal, a large pasta salad and one of each of the appetizers. The meat in the feasts were not wrapped well and the salads were covered in the juices. One feast was salmon so that salad was ruined. I did not complain about this. What I did call and complain about was how all the pitas were burnt, the salad dressing for one of the salads was also missing as well as the drink for the kids meal (we should’ve noticed this prior to leaving but we didn’t). I called and told them we’d be back for pita that wasn’t burnt so we could enjoy the dips. We did attempt to eat the burnt pita but it was too far gone. My husband went back to pick up the replacement and he was told that the pitas are made the same way every time. Like he was making it up. Apparently they asked for them back. He didn’t take them but I have photos of what we were given. I can return them if you truly want them back. No one is going to complain to get free baked pita…lol Regardless, I understand mistakes happen. It just becomes upsetting when something is clearly burnt yet still served. 48 baked pitas were replaced with 24 pitas so we didn’t even get what we paid for. Not a big deal because there are always a bunch of leftovers. I’d just ask that the employees be mindful of what they are serving. The girl I spoke with on the phone was very kind and apologetic so that was nice.”

“Very quick and my order is always ready n time. My go to for NOLA gumbo. It’s really hard to find authentic bold flavors of NOLA and they’ve done just that. About to devour these 2 quarts and share with a few. I’ve tried many things and all have been well seasoned. My daughter doesnt eat fish and she loved the breading on theirs. Keep it up. I’ll definitely continue to support good quality food”

“The egg rolls are our favorite of any we have had elsewhere. The service is good and we always feel welcome. It’s our first choice for Chinese/Thai food.

Kid-friendliness: Our grand children always find things they enjoy. Ages 8, 13, 15 and 18. One thing I particularly like is that the noise/music is not so loud. You can have a conversation while enjoying your meal.”

“We went in about 40 min before close on the 4th of July! The hostess up front immediately asked if I had a to go order and when I said no she just looked at me with disgust. One star off for that!! I almost walked out!
BUT glad I didn’t our waiter was very attentive and nice and was everything you want your server to be when you are out to eat. It was the best service I’ve received at any Olive Garden in my life at any location. Minus the very rude little girl up front seating people/doing to go orders.”

“This place doesn't look like much from the outside (ok, let's be honest, inside either), and a health score on a lower than confident end might be a bit of a deterrent as well to giving it a shot, but no question you'll get some fantastically-greasy, tasty food from here; I'm talkin' "feeling guilty after you eat it, and a little worried about your cholesterol levels" good. I mean, a place that stuffs French fries in an already fattening burrito has got some balls-balls... And speaking of such, my weapon of choice during my take-out visit was the California Burrito which, once I got home and settled, was freakin' delicious and a definite do-again the next time I'm hankerin' for just some flat-out Mexican street food.

“Honey Baked Ham Alabaster, you have truly outdone yourself. A sweet friend of mine wanted to surprise us and have food delivered to our home after we had a family member pass away a few days ago. After having some ordering difficulty through DoorDash- she called the store & the store manager helped her place an order. Not only did he assist in placing the order, he took the situation into consideration as well. Nearly an hour later- the store manager himself was on my porch delivering MORE food than my friend had ordered. He offered his condolences, and delivered extra food with a gift card for the inconvenience and the situation. This is true customer service and proof of someone who loves what they do. I am so thankful for him & this gesture today. We are feeding our family well tonight. Thank you Alabaster store.”

“Love hungry howie's, they have such a unique selection of food and many vegetarian options. You will have to try their macaroni and cheese pizza it is amazing. Also their vegetarian Subs with garlic butter, Parmesan cheese and many other cheese.

I've eaten subways and jersey Mike's and both are ok and I still eat there because of location convenience but if I have a choice Firehouse is clear winner and if I take someone there who has had the other 2 but not Firehouse they always prefer Firehouse after only one visit. That's what's up”
